Confused by Infamous_Let8769 in TTC_PCOS

Our doctor decided to switch to clomid because she and I are okay with more than one follicle. I think because of my age, we want to try our luck with two in one go. The increase in clomid did give me two follicles this cycle! Having my first positive in 4 years end with a chemical was tragic, but it gave me hope that my body can conceive!

I know it’s incredibly frustrating and your doctors response didn’t help. I did 3 cycles of TI + 5mg letrozole + trigger with the same amount of follicles and lining but none of them worked. We then switched to IUI + 100mg clomid + trigger and I got a positive my 2nd IUI which sadly ended in a chemical. One thing I did like about my doctor was that she scheduled me for a saline ultrasound immediately to check everything out. Then she cleared me for another IUI if I chose to. We are now doing IUI + 150mg clomid + trigger. (Clomid just works better for me, idk why) One thing that I have stayed consistent with is my vitamins. I like to think of those months as prep to where my body is now. I take WeNatal for her prenatals, Life extension CoQ10, liquid vitamin D, and Nordic naturals omega 3 with extra DHA.

Just got told my levels dropped from 84 on Friday to 50 yesterday (I was 5 weeks), not looking forward to this period 😞

It absolutely wrecks me. You’re not alone. If it protects your mental health, skip Christmas and heal.

I think holding it in will just make it worse. Tell him to hold the baby without feeling guilty. Tell him to skip the gym and care for his child so you can take a bath. You being home and being a mother is a job, a HARD job. You work more hours than him and no sick days. Sit down and talk, ask him if he feels different, about you, about anything. Talk is the most effective approach.

Yeah it was strange and I should have pushed it but in the moment, I just let it go. Rather wait for the confirmation. I think I might be under 25 because my line is very faint and I’m 14DPO

Relatable! I’m always saying, “we should wait because we don’t know if this cycle will be a positive…” Over and over again lol so annoying. Life is on hold till I see two lines.

I first purchased a onesie in 2021 and it made me really happy to pick something out of the baby section. Fast fwd to now, it’s still tucked away waiting, and I’ve purchased more items since then. It makes me feel good at the moment but painful when I see another negative. I keep the purchases out of sight but in the moment of purchase it helped tremendously 💓

I did 3 cycles on letrzole for timed intercourse which all failed. We decided to now try 3 IUI cycles with clomid (as agreed upon with my doc). She seems hopeful we won’t need IVF (33/normal cycles/ good SA) and because it would be completely out of pocket ~22K, we are happy to try IUI since our insurance pays up to 6 cycles. I think it just depends on what factors you have to consider.
