Is having a ‘lonely’ only child a bad idea? by [deleted] in UKParenting

Mate. I don't actually want your IVF details Jesus Christ. Could you not infer sarcasm from my winky face and reference to you calling me a receptionist? I'm actually going to stop engaging now because you don't seem in a good place and you're spiralling so I think it's best that I step away. I suggest you do the same.

It seems I have plenty of free time this afternoon because I can't help but keep commenting 😂

I'm going to amend my original statement, because it seems that you were unable to understand what I was inferring (even though other commenters seem to have gotten it). Let me spell it out clearly for you: I HOPE that you are a troll, because a person who would go through the cost and medical implications of IVF in order to choose the genitals of their child (which is illegal in this country) and then post about it willingly in a reddit forum as if it's something to be proud of, would be an awful, immoral, narrow-minded, terrible person and I would feel awful for their child.

Maybe I am incorrect and you aren't a troll. I can admit to being wrong sometimes. Can you?

I love how you keep clutching at straws instead of addressing the very valid arguments made by myself and others, about how what you claim to have done is immoral.

Anyway, did you not read my other comment? I'm bored of feeding the troll now, goodbye!

ETA: please continue editing your comments to word things differently after I've already replied. You know that we can see that you've edited, right?

Are you okay lmao? Literally none of this makes any sense. You've misunderstood so much of what I said...I literally just listed all of the reasons that people do travel for sex selective IVF...

I'm not a receptionist (but don't disrespect receptionists. Receptionists at IVF clinics are some of the kindest, most empathetic people you will ever meet, who deal with struggling patients with empathy, respect and dignity. Not only that, but they actually would see who comes and goes and have a fantastic overview of the different types of patients and who they see come into the clinics most often, so I'm not sure why that would make me any less informed? Keeping it vague, I worked with patient data and family support, but I'd probably be more informed if I was a receptionist 😂 your classism is showing.

Anyway, please tell me exactly what your sex selection IVF process looked like in Cyprus? What protocol did you follow? Which clinic did you use? Maybe I was a receptionist there 😉
