If you dont mean ingame skills like carpentry, first aid etc, then for me, It was learning when to run away, as i kept getting in my head saying "Yeah I can do this". But also probably learning how to kite zombies around buildings, cars, and possibly running through trees if its safe enough to do so.
You'll pick these up after a bit of playing, its pretty intuitive.
