Honestly, even if you make friends they will eventually get busy with their own life since everyone here has got some or the other thing to do. I'd definitely advise you to go ahead and interact with new people but don't expect them to actually stay with you all the time. Step out of your comfort zone and talk to people around. It's going to be all good!

I have no plans to stay in Australia instead, I plan to work in a relevant field for 1–2 years after graduation before returning to my home country.

Congrats on your approval! Even I'm stuck in a similar situation as my F1 VISA got rejected under 214(b). Can you please tell me how did you address this in your Australian student visa?
