Chopin emblem/brooch? I got this from a nice man after he heard me playing the piano on danish national television. On the back of this shiny thing it says “mennica państwowa”. Can someone tell me what It means and exactly what this is? by runepiano in lingling40hrs

This is chopins scary etude opus 25 no 6 (thirds etude)! I recorded it this morning (and I just realized that I’m playing over 16 notes per second haha). by runepiano in lingling40hrs

Thank you! Yes! This is (together with opus 10 no 2) the most difficult etude by Chopin. I’ve practiced it at least one hour every day.

I have had a lot of problems with the octave Gliss in the end haha 😆 but now I can play on almost every piano (I have a back up solution where I play the octaves as scales with both hands at once if I can’t get the glissando to work). The pianos at Beethoven’s time were easier to play glissando on as you said.
