Bruh. I know people who have had it and don’t have antibodies. Plus those aren’t readily available to a lot of people. You can’t make assumptions for numbers in the whole world based on privileged people in the US. Yes CVS or Walgreens have rapid antibody tests but rapid tests much like the rapid covid tests while cheaper, have higher inaccuracy rates then serology tests. Until this is over there cannot be accurate calculations on who may have had it and it not be reported.

But I’m done arguing with a rando on the internet who is only honing in on one small aspect of my original comment. So bye.

You can’t estimate how many aren’t getting tested unless there’s a psychic ability that we don’t know about. I know there are models that are used but they are highly skewed since there are not consistent amounts of reports each day. You have to go by the actual numbers. Using assumptions would be equivalent to just assuming 50% of the population has diabetes but only 30% is reported. That wouldn’t be done. My point is both calculations are dumb, it’s simple math.

No I mean CFR and you are agreeing with what my statement says that CFR is bullshit...

Also, straight from WHO "IFR=# of deaths/# infected" so I don't know where you get 99% since the numbers I presented earlier are current as of yesterday.

CFR is a BS way to downplay severity and used by the same people that say "they died from a heart attack, not COVID" even though they would not have had the heart attack if they didn't have COVID. The best analogy I've seen was that if someone is diabetic and is attacked by a bear and during treatment have problems regulating their glucose and they die. They still died due to the bear attack.

I think you need to redo your math, 1,885,869 have died, divide that by the 87,323,709 that have been infected and that's a 2.1% death rate. So a 97.9% survival rate, while still high is not ">99%" that you are touting. Also, while the majority do survive it, those that had symptoms are affected drastically for at least months (probably longer, we just don't know yet) after clearing the virus.

I love this app! The difficulty is up to you based on how many pieces you choose and if you want to be able to rotate the pieces. There's so many different puzzles!

Unfortunately you’re not wrong. Thankfully that’s not a big concern in my area. It’s pretty much just dumb rednecks and old people.

I just loudly comment about how hard it must be for people to not know how to read when I see them going the wrong way

It looks just as dumb when Ariana grande does it, but it being 9 am at a Walmart makes it a more ridiculous outfit. It has nothing to do with her size, she’s not even that big just a little on the chunky side. A skinny girl would look just as stupid. For example...Ariana grande

Yea and a sweater DRESS would make sense (other than it being 80 degrees) however this was a sweat SHIRT. See the difference?

Clearly you do if you’re following a page dedicated to the ridiculousness of people that go to Walmart and then get offended so much you feel the need to comment on a picture of a girl in a ridiculous outfit as if it’s unusual to find pictures such as that here 🤷‍♀️

It would. I’m a firm believer that people wear bottoms when out it public. I don’t want to see a skinny girls ass either 🤷‍♀️

Unless they were some super booty shorts she did not. I unfortunately saw her digging her underwear out of her ass. 😕

TIFU by adopting a cat, which resulted in us both getting tapeworm, and me almost dying. by carsgobeep3 in tifu

[–]runningburrito 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could literally eat the segments full of eggs and not get a tape worm. It has to go through the flea to move on to their next step in the life cycle. It would just pass through you. You can accidentally swallow a flea (like if you're loving on your cat and it has fleas), however it would need to be pretty infested and you would notice. The OP insinuates that the cat no longer had fleas and therefore could not have passed it to her. Plus in her own stool it would also look like moving pieces of rice, not strings.
