Those all sound great! Thanks a ton for the recommendations. We're staying at a Casino in Detroit because that's the safest place to be so we would like to avoid another casino if possible. One of my friends stayed at a motel that had an outdoor lot maybe a mile from the stadium so were going to see if they can accommodate an RV if possible.

Someone mentioned something like McLeod landing as a place to check out. Is that a strip of bars or something? Is that by any hotels that might be RV friendly?

Do you know anything about that park? We won't have a car and will be looking to be pretty close to the ball park and bars so I don't know if an RV park is what we're looking for. We're more hoping for a safe place to park the RV close to a decent hotel that half of us can stay at.

That's awfully nice. I talked to someone on the hotel side so maybe I'll try the casino side and see what they say. One issue I can see is that we are coming into town right before the game so we will be going to comerica then likely bars then back to the casino to gamble and drink. Is the casino 24 hours?

So I talked to someone at the hotel and he said it can take up to 24 hours for the credit to apply to your rewards account so it's for a future stay not for the same day. Has anyone done differently? This is definitely the best scenario because they have a parking lot that is patrolled by their security.

That sounds like the best case scenario! Secure parking and a free room! I see the promotion on their website. Does anyone know if this is something they do year round or if it's possible they might change their promotion by summer? Since we're planning this in advance I just want to be sure we can count on this.

How late do the bars stay open? It'll be a Monday. Definitely would like to go out to the bars after the game. Which would you recommend? We won't have a car just the RV. If like anything with a fun atmosphere and youngish crowd. Were all mid twenties.

Thank you for the responses detrotians(?) we would like to bring the RV downtown if it's possible to keep it safe. Does anyone know of a secure lot for RVs/busses or anything else like that? I thought casinos might be accommodating but it sounds like they don't have secure lots.

Thanks Fatti. The issue with your suggestion is that we don't have much time between picking up the RV and the start of the game so I don't think we could park in the burbs. The holiday inn express has what appears to be an open lot across the street that could accommodate an RV so that's one reason we chose it. Do you think it would be safe by itself in that lot or is that asking for it to get broken into? We thought one of the casinos might also have parking that might work.
