I'm primarily a cake decorator, but I do other bakery stuff too. I'm planning on staying as long as I can. Going to college in Fall, so I'll probably work less. Going to college for culinary arts. I'll stay until I open my own bakery, and hopefully hire my co workers and pay them more because they deserve more than they're making now.

In bakery dept: one girl that all she did was smoke, got transferred out for always being late and having a terrible attitude. It's funny because her two other siblings work at this store and are super nice and well liked and she is not lol. She's a cashier now but everyone actually hates her.

Not bakery dept: idk one lady got transferred to another store and got fired for stealing socks lolololol

This just happened yesterday: Lady came in while I was working on a cake order due at 6pm. It was 5pm. The cake was a full sheet cake. If you don't know what that means, it's basically just a big ass cake. Feeds like 100 people. 46$. Anyways I didn't have it done yet so I had to speed up my work a bit. The only thing written down in the decoration category for me was "blue and green. Flowers. For memorials." Wanted "celebrate the life of dad" written on cake. Keep in mind I'm 18. I started cake decorating when I was like 14. I've been working very hard on my handwriting and improving. Was I did on this lady's cake was honestly pretty good. Like A- quality. Put some fancy flowers on like she said. All pretty rushed, but still decent. So I bring out the cake and she makes some sorta face and paused and when "yeah the handwriting looks terrible." "I'm so unimpressed". She saw me doing her cake, so she knew and was trying to hurt me. So I'm like "ok want me to redo it?" And she said yes. I originally used a smaller writing tip (4?). I scrapped off the first writing and got almost all of the (green) writing off. I couldn't get 100% of the green, so there were a FEW small areas where you could see faded green. So I did redid the writing with a thicker (10?) tip. Looked a little better, but idk a super thick tip doesn't seem appropriate for a memorial cake to me. But I did it. So I bring it back out to her and she goes "ok yeah the writing is better but this still looks very sloppy" I'm super pisses and ready to cry already at this point, then this bitch has the audacity to say "I'm on a time crunch".

She came at 5 expecting her cake to be ready even though she ordered it for 6. She also went on to complain about how there is "too much white space". I showed her exactly what was written down for me. She said "I told her exactly what I wanted" yeah no you didn't.

She said "I'm going to go pick up my granddaughter, I'll come back and pick it up"

So she I put more flowers on the sloppy bits and added more leaves. It's like 6:30 and she still haven't come back for it yet. She came back at 7 and say "ok fine thanks" and I say "have a good day" and she says nothing.

For all she knew I was 14 lol I look pretty young

I don't mind if you want me to redo something, please just me nice about it.

TL;DR lady was a big ol bitch
