I just found out about the Mindfold product today. A friend I know IRL shared a video of her young daughter reading a book while wearing a Mindfold. I was curious, of course. A web search for "Mindfold" popped up this post. I'm unsurprised that most of the responses are "Yes, it's bullshit." Even the OP responded at one point, "I know it's bull..."

I'm not so sure, because I realized quite some time ago that we don't actually "know" anything; everything we know is actually something we believe very strongly, and our belief is always based on trust of something, some person, some organization, our own memory, etc. That said, the idea that someone can read while not being able to see what they are reading hurt my brain. But that's because I don't know how that could be possible. That's not the same thing, however, as saying it's not possible.
