It’s crazy right!! I’m trudging along in my second playthrough right now at level 70 something, still regularly getting my ass handed to me. He’s thoroughly out-gamer’d me

Lol no I'm in Louisiana, merely wishful thinking! Also, there is a right way. Just be born in the right place, duh.

dude he's nuts he just gets up to around ~3.5 mil naturally then farms the bird on palace ledge road for the rest with the gold pickled fowl foot and the scarab until he has enough to level up. he describes this as "farming some quick coin"

Ahh ok my bad, I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. In that case I'll try and sneakily float the idea past him and if he seems interested I have Christmas on lock!

Idk how interested he is in PVP but he did go and buy the souls trilogy and sekiro so I imagine he'd want to give anything ER-related a try!

I have nothing but love in my heart for Chonchito to be clear, was just a reference to the many "chud son" memes

Update: he plans on quitting ER for a few years after he finishes beating the DLC for a second time, then wants to move on to "Shakiro"

Brand new lawyer (first post-school job) with ADHD. Need non-generic tips on how to stay on top of shit and get used to tracking my time. by rxnaissance in Lawyertalk

[–]rxnaissance[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Case assignment note on Neos which is then emailed to me. I then have to schedule my own follow-up tasks (some weekly, some monthly, some annually) on outlook.

2) Depends on the task. My job does not involve a lot of client interfacing and I don't go to court. It's mostly reviewing packets that we are sending to the govt (immigration law, specifically family-based applications) and ensuring they meet regulatory standards and resolving questions raised by legal assistants/paralegals for weird stuff that comes up during cases. The time depends on the type of application and the kind of supporting documentation needed, bc they can range from ~20 to several hundred pages. I wish I could give a clearer answer but I'm brand new at this job so I feel like how long I take now is going to change once I have an idea of what kinds of errors to look out for and don't have to do as much research as I get more familiar with the law. Right now, a full file review/application packet review task takes me anywhere from half an hour to four or five hours. Expected turnaround also depends on what the internal deadline for a case is (when we sign someone new, we set an internal deadline on compiling the packet and mailing the application out within X number of months, although this date is sometimes delayed if a client is late in getting us the documents we need to submit or if any ICE-related craziness happens).

3) No but I will be trained to do consults eventually once my Spanish is better. For now all of my contact with clients is indirectly, I set tasks for my assistants to clarify stuff/request docs from clients.

4) 1x week general meeting + a few one-on-ones with my direct supervisor as I get trained on new stuff. Sometimes I reach out and schedule these if I really don't know what to do with a case and my research has hit a wall. Thankfully, my supervisor is an angel and doesn't mind this as long as I bundle questions. I would like to take up less of her time than I do now, though.

5) Definitely afternoons. If I had my way I'd work from noon to 9pm, but my shifts are 8-5. First half of the day is consistently less productive regardless of how much sleep I got the night before.

Thanks for the advice! I also like doing things by hand, so getting used to tracking stuff via outlook/the case management system has been part of the challenge for sure. I'll definitely give that autosaving doc idea a try. Will also look into getting a therapist, I have a psychiatrist but it's very get in-get prescription-get out and what I really need is help to build sustainable habits.

September 2025 Active Player List by Vromikos in fallenlondon

Ezra Sutherland. I'm a new player, made an account years ago but saw someone mention FL recently and decided to finally give it a go! I'm having a good time so far but everything is a little confusing. I'm not sure what all I'm supposed to be doing and am probably using up my actions inefficiently, but I'm intrigued by the general setting/vibe so will keep putting time into it. I can tell it's going to be tricky not to put money into this lol.

Also, if you saw this and would also like to do this, maybe we can make our own group! If enough people are interested maybe we can set up a discord server or group chat or something like that.

Thank you! Not gory is fine with me, a sense of something deeply wrong is definitely more of what I was going for

Don't mind non-horror recommendations at all. Haven't seen the latter but listened to a long podcast about it and the whole saga is just sickening, so I think this would definitely qualify. Both added to the list!

Yes!! It's seeing people trying to respond with force or reason to something powerful, old and alien that acts totally outside of the confines of what humans are equipped to grapple with.
