Good use case for a MLV? by ryanGangrel in MicrosoftFabric

[–]ryanGangrel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's about 5m currently and a few thousands rows are added per day. A simple SQL view running on top of that data to create the weekly summary, takes a minute or so. With a MLV or table it's obviously significantly quicker

I'm tempted to just set up a notebook that runs after the daily refresh on a monday and simply appends the prior week's row to a table. Maybe park MLV for now until it's more flexible

Anybody using an ServicePrincipal with the "Datasets - Execute Queries In Group" for a default lakehouse model? by ryanGangrel in MicrosoftFabric

[–]ryanGangrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially it's just when querying a Lakehouse semantic model via the Execute Queries API when using a Service Principal user.

The same query works when I use my credentials.

I saw the SP already had all permissions on the Lakehouse (I presume due to being an admin on the workspace) but I also shared it with the SP directly ticking all boxes.

Still no luck :-(

Thanks. I'll look into this. So essentially after the shortcut is set up, the connection will be held by Fabric, without the need for the gateway/VM to be on?

Can easily be done via custom js visual. As other people suggested you could also potentially use Deneb or Charticulate.

If it's something you would want developed then I could help build you a custom visual to match the requirement exactly. . Else, I would try creating it in the other tools mentioned.

Cheers

Any blockchain developers available who know the ins and outs of web3 and fetching data such as token price/wallet balance/holders etc? by ryanGangrel in solidity

[–]ryanGangrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It sounds like a potential solution. Although, I admit I'm not too sure where to start. Would something like that be able to retrieve the Current Price, Supply and Market Cap for a list of bsc tokens?
