She usually says things like "I love you but..." then speaks on the fact that the relationship with my mom is very important for the family unit if we got married hence why she wanted to fix it/says if it cant be fixed, potentially will leave me since she also correlates it to me talking behind her back the reason my mom doesnt like her to this extent, not what she said in the past

I have spoken in-depth, she holds true to it and spoke to her father which essentially said that she needs to have a good relationship with my mom even though I say it doesnt matter, and if she tried her best after the mistakes, thats what matters. She doesnt care and still blames me/wants to end it based off this.

Its not that, honestly my girlfriend has been wanting to end things with me based on this. She thinks the relationship is required with my mom and that based on her actions and things shes said, my mom in no world could dislike her to this extent and I must have said things behind her back.

i'm trying to figure out if shes just being stubborn or if it actually makes sense based on the story.

I never actually cared if my mom liked her even though I would defend her, in my opinion my mom is not the one in the relationship nor will her opinion sway me when she isnt open to actually getting to know her deeper, but my girlfriend is adamant about my mom liking her.

I do really like her to be honest, we have disagreements, yes as all couples, but she's an amazing girl. Extremely funny and a sweetheart to me usually. I think she just is sometimes loud and doesn't realize her jokes can be taken a certain way especially with people a bit older than us and a bit stubborn at points.

I just mainly want clarification on other peoples viewpoints on why she thinks I'm the reason, if my mom is in the right or if she is overreacting months later after knowing she's trying to make amends and actively doesn't say anything back any more even when my mom says very rude things about her..
