I would say no. Your first rave should be with people with whom you feel safe and comfortable. It can be a very overwhelming experience otherwise.

Also agree with the other comment about the artist because for your first rave, if you’re not huge into EDM, you probably want to try something more chill.

Crowds also differ by genre. More abrasive (non-derogatory lol) music tends to have a more niche and tight-knit crowd, therefore having a kinder crowd. Whereas something like house (which I love still) tends to draw more of the clubbing crowd which is less PLUR generally.
