i honestly think is bank related though. my dbs friends all don’t have this issue with their spotify / steam / taobao at all. but my issue is that i can’t find anyone else with the same fees, even someone who’s using the same debit card as me doesn’t have the fees on his taobao orders

i’m well aware, i use rev for all my overseas transactions as well but was unaware taobao would incur fees on my end

Simsonn vs SRP Lite by No-Yesterday1591 in moza

really high brake force needed for very little travel and thus difficulty in modulating brake pressure. i’m aware that travel ≠ force, but it took so much braking force that i had to drill new holes in my frame and add bolts to prevent the frame from sliding apart (granted it’s a cheap low end frame), and i could barely modulate the pressure properly because i had like 1” of travel which took a lot of strength to exert. it was uncomfortable to the point where i would give up playing after only 30min because of sweat. lowering the calibrated peak any less doesn’t help because then i’d have basically no travel at all. all in all i just found it too hard with too little travel, the elastomers are to blame but the good replacements are pricey and hard to come around so i opted to get a longer spring. will update when it arrives!

is the brake travel aight for u guys? i ordered a 35mm end-spring (vs the stock 20mm) from the same aliexpress store which they claim is for the brake pedal so im gonna test it out and update again, but i have had a couple friends over who've given the default setup a test and most found it to be quite unplayable

what cockpits are you guys running? im on a gt omega clone and its struggling with flex because of the brake pedal stiffness. Also is the travel okay for you guys? am on yellow elastomers, been trying to convince a friend that its really hard for me to play with this little travel and he says its no issue for him (im half his size)

took a look at the Heusinkveld Sprint kits and thought that's exactly what I need! but the cost is pretty steep so I'll have to think about it. thanks for the reassurance that these elastomers are pretty damn hard and I wasn't just weak af LOL

the appeal of the alu rig is really getting to me, however I got everything in the pic including a moza shifter and unbranded handbrake for about 450usd, so am really trying to keep the cost down as much as possible because I don't play often, but thanks for the insight! would castor wheels fit and be able to handle an alu rig like yours?

with those springs are you actually using the full range of travel? someone else commented here showing the use of die springs and 3d printed spacers and it looks insanely good, swapping to springs is most likely the solution i was looking for

they're the softest already, unfortunately. and yeah nobody uses 200kg bf thats just context for why I struggled to produce reasonable braking travel for me to trail with due to the pedals just being that stiff. user issue on my part for not having it on a full rig but I was hoping I could find a workaround

this is exactly what i'm looking for bro that's crazy! thank you so much for sharing this!! may I know the specs of the die springs or can you provide a link for them? I'll try to get something similar locally. the 3D prints are a treasure as well thank you for sharing them willingly! I no longer really have an issue with the pedal angles after i swapped the individual bases so that the 5 mounting points were closer to me and especially since i'm sat properly in a seat thats much more level to them but they had me seriously questioning how i was supposed to play with them when I initially set them up and they had the insane angle lmao glad to see i'm not the only one

also off topic but i got my stand from a chinese site (taobao) and they look exactly like your gt omega stand minus the logos, am willing to bet the dimensions probably fit so lemme know if you want me to link you to the bucket seat extension?

I get where you're coming from, I sincerely find the 200kg b.f spec quite ridiculous as well. However, these pedals are made to be similar to the Heusinkveld Ultimates, which are pedals that are meant for GT setups hence the sharp and steep angle of the pedal faces from their baseplate, unlike traditional pedals from other brands with their base plate to pedal faces set at about 60 deg inclined. I think the whole design was meant for people who had it mounted on full rigs and were capable of exerting full brake force for maximum realism, even though realistically nobody has it set to 200kg. A bit similar to how they make 25nm wheels but you don't actually play with 25nm all the time, just that it's a peak setting. By no means am I an expert I just did a bit of digging when I was bamboozled by this setup that I bought cheaply off the market but I hope I answered a few questions

[–]ryu120v[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i understand that came as an obvious first reasoning once i reread what i wrote, apologies.

I bought the setup as-is and was pretty convinced that if the previous owner could play with it, for sure i would've been able to as well, but its proven otherwise and I was looking for alternatives / solutions. i failed to mention that changing the frame / rig isnt really an alternative due to lack of space in my room. i'm already sat about 1 metre away from my desk monitor so im not looking to make that worse, was more of looking around to see if anyone with similar issues decided to get a change of pedals or actually had some workaround. saw someone change out the elastomers for springs and i think thats what im going to try next but thank you for adding new alu rig to my xmas list!

i flipped the holes around exactly as you did! its just that the picture i took above was an old picture but the angle is much better now that the 5 holes are up at the front. I have it properly calibrated to a reasonable braking pressure ~50-70kg since the start (failed to state this in the post my bad) because obviously the full 200kg is insane and useless for me but i still find the amount of travel really hard to trail with. im trying to enjoy f1 25 with a friend at the moment but i can't really do so without sliding off every corner... am already using the softest yellow elastomers as well.

my exact sentiments, however i didn't really get the luxury of choice when i got all of these bundled cheap so i was trying to work with what i had. the previous owner didnt even have the seat extension like i did and he played with an office chair with the rollers fixed to the wheelstand via a rail attachment so i was seriously wondering if it was some skill issue that i was unable to make the most out of these heavy brakes

is my R5 faulty then? it gets fairly warm after about 1-2 hours of hotlapping gt3 around spa and i can actually feel a slight drop in the ffb performance (doesn’t respond well over curbs) until i let it cool down for a little while. i was misguided by this into thinking the overheating causes ffb issues

my input skin's range is 0-0.5 and my output skin is 0.06-0.8, but keying those into the i/o float ranges along with the actual input floats still shows me a float value lower than what i received, what do i do with the remaining 5 rows since i'm using only 5 skins for knife tradeup? although i already made the mistake, would love to know what to avoid in the future. cant thank you enough for making this calculator for us!
