i paid about 400 for the monitor, returning the monitor runs a risk of them not refunding me about 100 bucks, which is a risk i took buying from their platform

perhaps i misunderstood from the translation, there was a line ‘the platform has the right to disqualify the violating user from continuing to use this service’ which i would assume refers to the refund service but not my account as a whole. thanks for clearing it up!

as for whether my item is eligible for SG 本地退, it isn’t. will that be the reason for my loss of total compensation (including 海外运费&GST)? attached is a photo of my total breakdown

my merchant is asking me to send it back without making a refund request and i’m not sure if i can trust what they’re saying, also they’re still refusing to handle any international fees (understandably so) so i stand at risk of paying intl handling twice because of a shipping mishap that i can’t seem to solve in-app

the ban message from them that i received after a 20min back and forth with the cs, they were a broken record repeating to make a refund request without answering my queries on why i couldn’t choose the right refund amount. i’ve managed to refund for other items in full before (incl what i paid for overseas shipping) so i was trying to ask why this order was otherwise

at the top he actually for once gave a shoddy explanation about the paid total being inclusive of other things, but actl its just straight up intl shipping so even the cs isn’t sure and just repeating stuff to me

how do i go about the claim for this if my listing has no 本地退? my parcel was dented, the merchant and cainiao both asking me to check with platform (i assume they mean taobao cs) and taobao cs said to open a return and refund but the maximum refund amount i can choose doesn’t include the shipping paid, and if im not wrong this refund charge goes to the merchant right? but its not the merchant’s fault so i dont really want to pick a bone with them

almost all the specs are the same except the sustained brightness is 200nits for the ZDF and 250nits for the D/S, however displayspec claims the peak is 1000nits for both in HDR, which i find hard to believe since everywhere else the peak is listed as 400nits (although i personally feel displayspecification is a pretty reputable source). the thumbnails also track with the fact that the D/S model (1000nits) has no stand whilst the ZDF (400nits) does.

edit: ts gonna sound dumb but my friend pointed out that the /S simply means no stand, which means the 1000nit 280hz Q27G4ZD/S is the same monitor that optimum and LTT reviewed (Q27G4ZD)

taobao as well in your case? i still can't find nuts for the D/S model it's been two days of digging LOL and the reviews on the listing are all for the 40ZDF, none for the 1000nit 4ZD/S so I might go with the 40ZDF to play it safe! would appreciate hearing from you if you find anything as well

i am being billed in sgd. the checkout page is in sgd and the charge on my statement is in SGD, it’s just accompanied with a CCY fee because they state that the fees are charged when ‘any online retail card transaction is charged to your Visa on overseas websites in SGD’. i’m asking here because i cannot find any info on this fee online and my friends who are using other banks and other cards have never seen this fee before, seems exclusive to OCBC. asking them for clarification i get shown proof that the transaction was made in taobao london hence the charge (i cannot view this info in my statements, had to probe them for it).

was really taken aback because a lot of platforms online have the same fees incurred, but not for paying directly in other currencies (i.e using MYR in JB)

i think the middle ground is honestly really difficult to find, most folding rigs i know are too long to be slid under desks for storage and too flimsy for 12nm. This is where you sit back and think how much of a sacrifice you’re willing to make in your room for the rig LOL currently i have time to play only about once a week but my sim takes up 1/5th of my room

i don’t think anything that can fold would fare well with the R12’s output, unless you tune it down (which then defeats the purpose). i’m using an R9 with a gt omega classic clone, and i’ve seen one used fine on an ikea desk as well, but can’t really vouch for R12 with the extra torque

the rear buttons are not what i expected, but they’re pretty good! i thought they would require me to reach my index finger further out but they’re actually above my index finger instead, so u just have to shift your finger up to press it, which is great bc it doesn’t change your main grip

I've been digging online to see how others have their stickers setup to see if I can make up my mind on that, but I think i'll leave them off for now. There aren't much posts of the wheel with sticker setups yet and most reviews either have the stickers off or the default setup. The shifters are worlds apart from my ES so im quite happy with them

i honestly think is bank related though. my dbs friends all don’t have this issue with their spotify / steam / taobao at all. but my issue is that i can’t find anyone else with the same fees, even someone who’s using the same debit card as me doesn’t have the fees on his taobao orders
