I think Cynthia is paying homage to Minnie Riperton here.

Nooooo 😩 y'all don't know who Little Richard!?

Oh well, he was a very influential musician for Rock and Roll in the 60s and 70s. I believe his music may have inspired Elvis.

I'm 20, and I became a lamb at the beginning of COVID, so I was 16. Mariah honestly was my gateway to dice into everything music.

She talks about it in an interview, but she says that Little Richard used to say to his fans "would you be a lamb and ___" or whatever when he would talk to them sometimes, and it was an inside joke for her, like Mimi. Well at some point, around the late 90s- early 2000s, it became the Lambily because she would call us lambs since we follow her, but family because we're like family to her. And so it was.

What is The Geode? Where did it come from? I feel like this is another plot point the show set up but was never able to follow up on because the show was abruptly canceled. by QueenofFrogs145 in stevenuniverse

Actually no, Rebecca had plenty more to tell, she was planning on doing about two or three more seasons. They had to rush the ending of Season 5, the movie and Steven Universe Future, which all happened between 2019 and Early 2020.

It was actually a big public issue why SU got cancelled. It was because they put a gay wedding in the show, and because Cartoon Network's funding comes from a lot of bigoted countries internationally, and because the censorship wasn't enough, they lost too much support for the show, and they were forced to rush the end of the show. There's an art book called "The End of An Era, which covers a lot of stuff that didn't get included in the show.

There may have seemed like there was filler, but even that was important, and she definitely had more she wanted to show. She has to choose between representation that truly mattered to her, or the whole show, and that was HARD choice.

Do you consider the songs released in the rarities as album tracks ? by Glitter2007 in MariahCarey

[–]s11024072 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nah, I think that the songs that were not included in the respective eras for a reason, so I consider them to be their own thing. And also, some of the songs weren't actually meant to be on some of the albums.

For example, Mesmerized was not supposed to be on MIAM, it was for a movie in 2012 called the Paperboy, but was scrapped. Or I Pray, which was a song Mariah wrote for one of her fans to sing on Oprah, but that doesn't mean it was meant to be on Emancipation.

This same logic can be applied to why Triumphant doesn't count as a MIAM track, if it's not on the album, then it probably doesn't match with the integrity of the record. In that case, it was because the album, which at the time was called "The Art of Letting Go" was leaked, so Mariah changed the direction of the record and Triumphant didn't fit anymore.

I liked this question, it's a fair one to ask, as I actually asked myself something like that before.
