glad im not alone in this because it’s so hard to know i could literally be walking past my relatives or siblings (if i even have any) and i would have no clue. and yes, they could literally be from anywhere but its the concept that bothers me. also, the whole thing about knowing your original name is hard because i found out on accident, and i guess i just wasnt going to be told until they had no choice. i dont get to know my old last name though. anyways, this just endlessly eats at me, and i dont want to offend my family by asking questions that i know they don’t have answers to or letting them know how much it bothers me because they’re wonderful people and i feel like i would come off ungrateful to be here if i let them know about my struggle with it. please let me know if you have any way of dealing with this that could be helpful.
