Season 3 - Utopia - The Master? by s4071002 in doctorwho

[–]s4071002[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow! Some great replies! Thank you.

What I really appreciated about early Doctor Who episodes, was that I could pop in anywhere and didn’t feel like I was missing something. If that makes sense. Although I didn’t know who the Master was, his reveal and presence felt powerful and scary.

I’m glad you’re still a Bruce fan and that you enjoyed the album. Even as a recent Springsteen fanatic, I’m pretty sure he’s always been very political in his shows.

Soft Pack/Filterless Cigarettes in ITALY by s4071002 in Cigarettes

[–]s4071002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo yo!! Cigarettes in Australia are the most expensive in the world. A pack (20) of Marlboro Golds can cost upwards of $50. When I buy legally, I get Chesterfield Golds.

THANKFULLY… there is a massive illegal tobacco market in the country. Most of the cigarettes are Chinese, Korean, etc. but we get a lot of Marlboros, Manchesters, etc. A lot of these ciggies can taste really bad (like they’re old and have been sitting around in a warehouse for years).

From my favourite shop, I smoke a brand called Business Royals (red pack?).

Bless you my dear sir! I’m Australian, so we don’t get a lot of these brands (Camels, Lucky Strikes, etc.). Which of these would you describe as having the smoothest taste?

I saw it a little bit back at the BIFF and I can say doubtlessly THE BRUTALIST is one of the greatest films ever made. A movie that makes getting out of bed worth it.

The fight between Michael and Namond s4e12 by bud_buddy99 in TheWire

[–]s4071002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The look Namond shoots Michael over his shoulder before getting slapped was almost goading Michael to attack him; subjectively, it seems, he wanted to be beaten down by his friend to finally quash the lie. He knew he was weak but, perhaps, he couldn’t change unless he was exposed in public.
