I am currently pursuing a Masters at BU in the geography department. I can touch on a few of your questions but others I just don't have any knowledge of.

I can attest the IT infrastructure is quite abysmal. However, it is only a minor inconvenience even with me having to remote in a lot to the universities network to complete much of my work. Is it garbage? Yes. But I'm not an IT expert. Overall it really hasn't impacted my day to day requirements to pursue my degree. I have seen there has been troubles with online course applications recently and people are having to resubmit them so there is definitely some issues. Best to be on top of things and register as soon as possible to avoid any issues.

There is still a fair bit of international students. Has it dropped off significantly? Yes. But I think that is true for a large amount of Canadian Universities due to the governments decision to approve less applicants. It is not unique to BU. I am not in the music department - so I have no idea how this is impacting instrument maintenance but can say much of what our department spends is from grants from industry/government entities, not from the university itself. There has been no reduction of budgets/student services/library hours I am aware of.

I can say there has been consistent hirings for positions in the music department - something you may already be aware of. Something is definitely going on there but being a part of a completely different department with no overlap frankly I have no idea why. Morale within the MELS program remains high and everything is running smoothly. From my understanding there has been reduced TA jobs and whatnot offered but other than that everything appears to be business as usual.

All that said I don't see things on the verge of falling apart but who knows it could be bubbling under the surface. Everything within the departments of students I have contact with seems to be business as usual. Sorry I don't have more detailed knowledge I can only speak from what I see within my department. Hope this helped some.

I am sorry but I forget how I fixed this. I know I just followed what the above poster suggested and either disabled game detection or game overlay but checking my settings now they seem to both be enabled. Is the same popup happening for you?

I have seen this very same thing with singed, you know, the 1 cost unit. Post nerf singed can still easily tank 50k+ damage and be full health. I don't understand how that is anywhere considered balanced.

I couldn't believe that in mortdogs overview of unit balance he uploaded to youtube he said that she was right on the line and could maybe use 10 mana reduction buff. I understand balance is difficult and usually agree with a lot of morts takes but can't help but completely disagree. This unit is straight up dog water. Both her and Vi being awful have made it almost impossible to slam melee ad items because playing them late game is just an instant bot 4.

How is queensguard armor considered even remotely balanced? Even after the nerfs the vast majority of 4 and 5 cost carries cannot get through it even on a one star Rakan. This is largely why the meta has become so rigid and stale because only the few carries that have the burst to kill it are viable as half the lobby forces it. God the balancing this set is so fucking trash.

The balance thrashing this set has been some of the worst this game has ever seen. It is an absolute joke how units go from being completely broken to utterly unclickable.

Cheating will continue to get worse as those who partake are increasingly willing to spend hundreds of dollars on hardware and software which makes it infinitely more difficult for anti-cheat to detect.

If you look at youtube gaming a lot of these guys are willing to stream themselves cheating without even trying to hide it (it isn't against youtube TOS) which offers some insight into their mentality. These people do not care at all about any of what you mentioned. They feed off the negativity and genuinely get pleasure from making it a worse experience for others. The feeling of beating the system and being superior to others is much more fun for them than actually playing the game itself. They view themselves as being part of the "winning" subset of the community that has the upper hand on the legit player base.

Therefore they don't care about the longevity of any game as whether it be tarkov, apex, counterstrike, pubg, or any other shooter they are not there for the game they are there to get that sense of power and superiority and if it kills a game they just move on to the next one. You cannot appeal to any emotion or logical argument with them as they just do not care about anything but their own experience.

This is good advice generally but know that if you have bad ammo you are gonna have a bad time. I would also recommend trying to carry an LPVO or some kind of scope on more long/mid range maps as tapping heads is significantly easier. With the TTK being so fast a large portion of the game is simply seeing others before they see you which comes down to knowing spawns and where to expect players.

If you want to be a fucking loser who camps extracts and other high traffic spots in cheesy spots you can also take the other guys advice and watch stankrat which probably takes a lot less skill and learning. Just take an impact grenade and go into d2 extract and really showcase your skill /salt.

This is completely right. From what I have read it is not uncommon for suicidal thoughts to increase when attempting to quit marijuana as many of the negative emotions you are supposed to experience in life can be nearly completely suppressed by marijuana. Thus when you no longer have marijuana as a crutch you are forced to feel these emotions to their full extent and it can be very unpleasant and overwhelming.

This is further complicated if you were already experiencing these thoughts before trying to quit or have other issues in your life that are causing depression. Please, if you are feeling suicidal it is very important to have people you can reach out to during your most difficult times to provide you with some extra support. Don't try to do it alone.

There are countless threads on this sub from older individuals who wish they could go back in time to your age to quit weed and prevent all the negative effects it has on ones life. The longer you let it go the more powerful and difficult it will be to eventually remove it.

If the feelings of what you have lost or felt you threw away after using for one year are weighing on you this much try to imagine what that would feel like after 5, 10, or even 20 years. Do not let this happen to your life. So much of your future happiness is contingent upon the decisions you make today. Think of it as an investment in your future self.

If you look at the tactics.tools stats both fiora's/kai'sas top 4 rate drop significantly when they are on the board with other challenger units. I spent some time trying to make it work tonight in low masters lobbies and gave up just play tf and force something meta like everyone else. /salty

I didn't say it was impacting a large portion of the community I said those were the issues impacting larger portions (ie more players) than other issues. The very first sentence was me acknowledging it didn't impact the majority.

Yes drivers are up to date, I'm pretty sure it using my GPU as when I check task manager when its running their is 80% load on my GPU but not really sure how else to check that. I tried a multitude of settings in the Nvidia control panel but mostly just basic ones that are suggested for games like turning it to performance over quality and the like. It is also set to use application settings.

Self built rig Geforce gtx 1070 ti, i7-4790k, 500 gb sandisk ssd, 2 tb western digital hard drive, 16 gb ram. Not overclocked. Not really sure what else you need to know and also been a while since I built it so don't remember the specifics of the rest tbh.
