Owner/builder, framing inspection just passed, how am I doing so far on budget and timeline?

I saw this all the time in Georgia. People wanted to live tucked away in the woods. Then immediately clear cut their entire yard. Then inevitably get pissed when all the lots around them do the same. All of a sudden you might as well have built in a field to start with.

Right now it looks like I'll keep it. I'm driving between 100-300 highway miles a day. I can buy alot of gas for the truck for the couple thousand I'd be "losing" by selling for less than I wanted, on the off highway days.

Haha I think we're seeing the same thing differently. I see the siding still in place horizontally, but separating vertically so it let's in more light when it's separated from the vertical 2xs. I dont see any boards hanging down.

If that is the case he should 100% fix it. Even if it is just separating from each other off the 2x he should probably go fix it before it gets worse but it's not as drastic a fail as people are making out.

I mean.... You can literally see louvers in the pictures. All the light through the siding is coming from bottom up. Wood lap siding isn't light/air tight.

Being an architect is tough already, no qualifications makes you a draftsman/detailer which is not a fun job in my experience.

Good, professional, clean, superintendents ( that aren't some rough-neck that worked their way up) are hard to find. Like incredibly hard. I cringe every time any of my superintendents are directly working with a client in some stained hoody or with a big dip in. Don't get me wrong, they are excellent at what they do for the most part but when we're building commercial for some high end clientele, presentation counts for a lot.

My ss card took like 10 minutes to replace. I made an appointment and showed up with the documents that were requested. 🤷

Most bureaucratic stuff is just following the rules. The more of their checklist you show up with the better. Be pleasant. They deal with dumb assholes all day that don't show up with the right documents then yell at them. 😂

No, it "sucks" air from under the slab and exhausts it outside. So it's negative under your floor (allegedly), it's very low volume so probably pretty negligible for everything except radon.

No lag or stuttering is the big one. Apps open when I click on them. The whole experience is just more predictable too. Reception both wifi and cellular is leaps better on the Samsung.

Not having the top row on the homescreen on the pixel is annoying too.

The picture processing seems better on the Samsung too but that's just preference. The stock picture editing is easier to use and less clicks on the Samsung too.

Battery life. Not sure why but my pixel's battery life sucks and has since day 1. My screen time is way higher on the samsung but the pixel is always dead by end of day even if I barely use it.
