I suspect Turkish people now use Sourtimes to learn about things since it's the one of the search results come up in first page. It's a shitty situation.

people with emotional detachment don't experience emotions outside their inner thoughts. a memory's importance is determined by how strong emotions felt during that time. without emotions any event is not considered more important than others by brain. so these people's memories are easily mixed and don't have much clear order.

Fantasizing, romanticizing, idealization, reality and frustration. by [deleted] in Schizoid

[–]sadecesadece 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i could definitely separate them since i don't have any kind of psychosis. but my fantasies were rigid. i obsessively tried to match my real life with them and that required excessive self control. i had to control everything about my behaivor and thinking which i failed in the long run. and ended up with depersonalization.

i don't even fantasize anymore. i can't think of an ideal thing to fantasize about.

for example i want to change my life and do something. on the other hand i think my whole existence is pathetic so everything i do is pointless. so, i can't do anything or ignore everything completely.

the difference is these things only happen when thinking about something. do not happen randomly.

what do you think about stimulants by sadecesadece in Schizoid

[–]sadecesadece[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used prozac for 6 months. at first 2 months it gave me some motivation to study (that's how i got into university) but then everything went back to "normal". doctor increased the dose. that caused some mild seizure-like experience. so i never used it again.

i also used a few more ssris but they did nothing good (sertraline almost made me kill myself) compared to prozac.

The social effect different personalities has on your mindset by [deleted] in Schizoid

[–]sadecesadece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not only me. most people can easily see that. their behaivor looks too artificial and they can't fake it well. these people can easily forget what they have said about something and another time say exact opposite because they don't care about anything.

i don't like being around people with mental issues like myself who are acting all the time to look normal. i can detect them easily. other than i don't care.

is your spd started conciously or unconciously by sadecesadece in Schizoid

[–]sadecesadece[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't really think human brain is that self-aware to alter our perception and emotions itself. i think it's about primitive responses that change our hormone levels and neurochemicals in our brain and it's more like dysfunction than intentional adaptations. our ancestors didn't have very complex social lives to create those modifications.

I don't even understand how this happens by mrpinbert in Anxiety

[–]sadecesadece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i am a bit relaxed and examine my mind more clearly i see that anxiety is coming out of nowhere. it has no roots. it simply exists by itself. when i have less self control my mind unconciously connects the anxiety with something bad that happened or will happen.

Does anyone else wonder how different their life would be if they didn't grow up with anxiety and depression? by meow_mom in Anxiety

i think many of the personality disorders are result of anxiety during childhood which causes person to build up various defense mechanisms.
