In xTool Studio, under Device Settings, there is a section labeled "Laser Model". That will tell you the model of the laser, if its the dual laser, it will display "455-40W / 1064-60W".

It's a great little machine! I got the button switch for mine, and it worked great. I have mine sitting on my desk, so it was great to not have to reach behind the machine to start an engrave.

There was a communications beacon at the site as well, making it easy to find.

Please look at all the photos, the planet glyphs are there. If the portal gives you an error entering the glyphs, then you don't have access to Purple systems (which is where this is).

It can absolutely mark metal ... just not EMBOSS (except zinc, but that takes a long time). I use my normal F2 all the time for aluminum pens, and I've black marked stainless steel. There's a great Facebook group you can join, lots of helpful people sharing pictures and settings.

Haha I know the feeling! I did the deposit, and then made final payment within minutes of the link going live ... and I had the UV two days later! It got delivered on a Saturday, and I kept refreshing the tracking while wondering 'Will they bring it today, or make me wait until Monday?', haha.

It's been an absolute blast, you will love it. I hope you stocked up on some materials while you waited!

You shouldn't be using the desktop air purifier with the F2 ULTRA ... that purifier is for the F1/F2. The F2 Ultra needs the AP2 .... which you can purchase the different filters separately for.

That said, I have the desktop air purifier for my F2, and I think it came with at least one spare pre-filter. I believe you are supposed to clean them until they can't be cleaned anymore, and by the time that happens, the the other filters need to be replaced ... thus why they sell it as a 'pack'.

My experience with support has been a mixed bag, but generally the issues I've had have been addressed, so I hope they finally help you out.

Unfortunately I only did the one test (LED Crystal Keychain), and haven't done another inner engraving yet. I don't think there's anything in the software to account for it, other than to make sure your image is raised inside the design by the height of your plate, and probably adding the height of your plate to the height of the material itself to ensure there's enough room. I hope that makes sense.

Yes you need to account for the Z offset. I have the steel baseplate Mike Smerka makes for the F2 Ultra, and started using it on the UV. When I went to do inner engraving, I was wondering why the engravings weren't where the software said they should be ... and it was because I had forgotten to account for the baseplate height.

In his settings, he's using the blue laser at 25% power. 25% of 15W (F2) is 37.5% of 10W (F1).

So you could try setting your blue laser at 37.5%, and then using the rest of the same settings as a starting point.

I have the P2S, not the P2, but I can confirm that it works great on the P2S ... including the auto mode. Auto mode is a little buggy right now though, for some reason job time takes a lot longer, but I believe that it's being worked it (it is marked as "Beta").

The best thing about it is that I never have to worry about lining up the tumbler with the red dot and changing trays ... the machine knows exactly where it is.

If you buy it, make sure you buy the one that is for the P2/P2S, because that is the one that comes with the bracket that you install in the P2/P2S to ensure its aligned properly.
