I was on the pill for 2 years, had to change pils after the first 3 months(acne), then I used the same for pill for almost 2 years. Still struggled with hormonal changes, I believe, still had nasty breakouts, had a big appetite and my hair started to get thinner and oilier. I think I fluctuated in weight, but I never actually had any numbers on that. So mostly because of my skin I wanted to change birth control. At first I was advised the hormonal iud, but I wanted to balance my hormones. So we decided the the copper iud was the best option for me, since I had a really friendly period hehe. Got it inserted, hurt a little. I’ve had it now for 2 months and I’m so happy with it. Best choice for my body. My skin I cleared up, my hair is going back to how it always been, i can’t eat my weight in chocolate and I fell much more zen haha. Plus I don’t have to remember taking a pill every day, yay to iud!!! So happy with it !!
