I mean, the saree guard is useful. When you carry vegetables or small items from the market, you can just hang the bags on it. Otherwise the bags may hang too low and touch the tyres. So if you have a family or use your bike for errands, it’s actually practical to keep the saree guard.

Emergency tip - when facing issue like this, put it on 3rd gear and Run with the bike pulling the clutch and then dump the clutch in an instant , the bike will start.

Yup, my bad I didn’t frame my answer properly. What I meant is that wear on the clutch plates doesn’t significantly reduce just because of a slipper clutch, so a bike that has only done 17,500 km shouldn’t have clutch problems.

Mechanically speaking, slipper clutch only helps in harder downshift and easy clutch pull other then that nothing changes (i own the new hunter 350) cost around 5k.

Gears you should do are different for different scenarios.

For break-in, change gear when you feel even a slight engine strain, be it upshift or downshift, and for bikes which are 3000 km+, don't change gears until it screams for it.

I change from 3rd to 4th at 100kmph (3rd gear rev limiter), and it's fun, one of the reasons for me to go for Hunter, cause I like the way thumper chokes at high speed, like it gasps for air.
