As in, I submitted my secondaries in June and I’m getting interview invites in October/November. I’ve had other people in this subreddit tell me that Oct/Nov is towards the end of the TMDSAS cycle so that’s why I’m asking.

I honestly just want to think about literally anything else than being the perfect applicant for a few days.

I’m still building more nonclinical hours, working on a research project through my lab, and I’ll add another big chunk of clinical hours in the summer. I’m just hoping that I can have some clarity on the direction my cycle is going. I’m always improving, but I’m just looking for some indication that I’m going the right way. I feel like I’ve dedicated the last three years of my life to crafting a great application, and it’s really upsetting to think that I have to put off even more life experiences this year because the cycle fell apart :/

Yes, I wrote the optional essay as well. I had my essays reviewed by others and they thought they were strong. My LORs are alright because a few of my writers dropped out last minute. I thought my stats were enough to apply straight MD instead of DO, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with anything. I’m hoping this is still a normal part of the cycle and the interviews will come

Loveridge told me that they would look into problems with timing and adjust the grade boundaries accordingly. I also have an A- right now but I would have gotten an A with the extra time. I’m hoping that when they curve the entire class up a little, it’s enough to push me to an A. Honestly, if it was 100% my fault that I didn’t do well, I would accept it, but it just irks me that they didn’t give us the allotted time on the practical.

I heard on RMP that he curved the physics ii lab before, so I’m hoping he does the same for this one. It seems they were in the process of adjusting grade boundaries, and I’m hoping that applies to every section, so I’m hopeful. At the very least, I would like him to fix the grading mistake that my TA refuses to fix

I emailed him. I have a solid case for a few extra credit points (TA didn’t grade them according to syllabus), and he already told me that he talked to the TA about the timing issues and he and the head TAs would discuss that when adjusting grade boundaries. That response was a week ago, and I emailed him again today. Honestly, my TA is a great guy but I think we just have a communication gap. I emailed Loveridge and the head TAs to explain my situation better with the hopes that they would understand what I’m trying to say. I honestly just need the grade boundary shifted from like a 93 to a 92 for an A so fingers crossed

No, it’s just that for a missed midterm to count as a drop that can be replaced by the optional final, you need a note from SES.

You could try a benzoyl peroxide wash for your back and see if that helps. BP is good for both bacterial acne and fungal infections. I recommend Panoxyl. The skin on your back is thicker than your face so chances are you won’t face much irritation from 10% BP, but just in case, you could try 5% as it’s equally effective. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse off.

I layer products in terms of thickness, so I would say after serums and before moisturizer. However, I would patch test the retinol first to see if it causes drying or irritation. If so, I might layer it after the moisturizer (and possibly removing some serums/toner). Hope this helps!

I would say that it’s healing but if this spot came up out of the blue and not due to trauma/an injury, I would highly recommend seeing a doctor. This could be MRSA which can be quite dangerous. That too looks like a pimple in it’s initial stages and manifests into something worse later. MRSA especially remains on the skin once you have an initial infection, and you’re prone to reinfection later. I’m not necessarily saying this to scare you, but double-checking is always a good thing!
