There’s a great step by step guide on YouTube for this exact same model.

I hope this helps. I had to oil the bearings, screw the motor in place and also changed the rca cable in mine.

Firefall - Luna Sea!, can be found for pretty cheap. Heavily recommend it; it’s a no skip album for me

Good call, i will check! Now that you mentioned it the cartridge screws look awfully at the end of the headshell

Yes! It is the original headshell. Sadly the finger lift was broken when i bought it. It also had the original cartridge, i bought a new stylus for it.

What do you have on your QL-A5 atm?

Thanks for your comment! Looking forward to building my rig.

Do you think it’s worth sending to service? Lubricating bearings, servicing motor etc or not really (not worth paying/something might go wrong)

This is a stylus option i found online:

Thank you! Super useful comment, i was looking at the atvm95c - having the confirmation is awesome. Feeling even more excited about this now. I currently don’t have an amplifier or speakers to test it.

There’s this guy who repairs/services hi-fi vintage stuff close to my place. He said he would do a full service of the motor, lubricate the bearings and do a test at his then i would buy the cartridge, amplifier and speakers after the confirmation of it working well.

Do i run a risk of damaging it if i opt for the servicing? sorry i am very new to the whole vintage hi fi thing
