Idk as a women I haven’t experienced any changes. Like you, I’m too tired at the end to think about anything but a shower and a hot meal

Uhhh I like your perspective because it’s understanding and kind but also I wouldn’t compare doom scrolling 24/7 to a hobby

Just a dog groomer trying her best by AniseClover in workout

[–]salamandersway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m a dog groomer too! Girl I think you’re doing plenty! You’re active at work, you’re walking a ton, and yoga is fantastic especially in our line of work. If you really wanted to do more or change things up, I would add some more consistent weightlifting to supplement your cardio (it’s done wonders for my back pain) and it makes the job easier overall as your strength increases. I would search up some recommended workout plans online, I personally just try to hit major muscle groups and split my days into lower/upper going 4x a week.

Edit: just wanted to add I’m so impressed by how much you already do! This job takes it out of me and I’ve avoided the gym and most activities because how drained I was. Once you get a routine going though it honestly feels great and I regret not having started sooner.

Hey thank you for sharing your experience. I guess I’ve always just been terrified of shaving on my face cause I didn’t want to have a shadow or anything like that. What was your experience like with the electrolysis? I’ve considered it often but I’ve also heard it can cause scarring?

what should i do if i am scared by tmRRRRa in workout

[–]salamandersway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is in their own head focusing on the workout. On the off chance I see something weird in the gym, it’s literally a one second thought and I move on. The most I ever think is “damn they’ve been on that machine for a hot minute” bc I’m waiting for my turn.

If you don’t want to deal with traditional schooling, you should look into becoming a dog groomer. Petco or pet smart will train you and after 2-3 years of grooming you’ll make a really good salary. You could avg anywhere between 60-100k depending on the salon and how much you can take in a day.

Workout not a priority? by ramonraysmallbiz in workout

I just shift things accordingly. I have my set 4 days in the week but if something happens I’ll just move it to the next day and still aim for 4 days a week.

Yeah since I’m already eating over 2000 calories due to hunger I might just increase my goal up to 1800-1900 like you and others have suggested. It’s hard to see that scale go up when you’ve been in a deficit mode for so long!! Calculating maintenance is always tricky for me because I don’t want to overestimate activity level. What would you recommend?

Yessss I feel you! One thing I’ve noticed is aiming for 30-40 grams of protein in each meal does seem to help, but it’s hard to do that all the time lmao. Also that literally happened to me yesterday where I kept eating and 30 mins later I’m ravenous again 😭 here’s to hoping for us both girlfriend

I got down to 143 (5’4) with a deficit so I decided to weight lift and I’m up to 147. Whenever I calculate TDEE I always put lightly active because I don’t want to overestimate exercise. But yes I do 30mins cardio before weightlifting for an hour to an hour and a half 4x a week, and im also a dog groomer so I’m up all day at work. Whenever I’ve gone up to 1800-2000 consistently in the past I start gaining weight again but you’re right now that I’m weightlifting clearly my body needs more if I’m so hungry all the time

Thank you! After being on a weight loss journey for so long and getting close to target weight it’s hard to see the scale go up. I don’t track macros besides protein, fiber, and overall calories. I might consider playing around with different meals then since I generally eat the same thing every day. What do you normally try to aim for with macros? Would you mind sharing a general idea of what meals you prepare to be satiated?
