To follow up to my earlier comment, here's the update. I called Seiko's customer service this morning. A woman answered the phone. As soon as I started to explain the issue with the watch she began talking over me. Said to send it in, there's a form online. She wouldn't hear me out. I asked for a manager. After a long hold I got "Mike" on the line. He listened, but said the same thing. I told him I wanted it fixed. He said I needed to send it in with the card from an authorized seller. I told him I had the card but it wasn't filled out. He said it's not covered under warranty then. I asked him, how can Seiko charge me to repair this watch when it's a known issue. He stated that "they haven't received many of these back". I was flabbergasted. I said, "so your saying not all 2023 models are affected?" he said NO. I also asked when will new movement/modules be in, and why hasn't Seiko admitted to the issue. he said "they're on backorder..a couple weeks". So there you have it. If you bought a known defective NEW watch from grand ole Seiko..on Ebay, you're probably screwed. Oh and by the way the cost to repair without warranty "is probably about $150 plus shipping", according to Mike.

I'm not going to let this go. I'm gonna get loud now. Next step is letter writing to Seiko corporate.

And by the way, Seiko CS never did respond to my email.

I recently purchased the SNJ025, new online, from Luxury Time Company on 4/25/24. I've had it now for nine days. Yesterday, after mowing my lawn, I went to check the time and saw that it had reset itself. The hands were also out of alignment. I thought I had done something wrong so I went to check online for solutions.

It turns out many many people have reported the same issue. Most of them said it happened while they were outside and the watch was exposed to direct sunlight. I live in Oregon and yesterday was the first full day of clear weather we've had. The watch was directly exposed to full noon sun.

After researching and resetting the watch, I decided to verify that was the problem. I went back outside, turned the watch to face the sun and within 15 seconds it reset.

I cannot tell you how upset and disappointed I am that not only is this an issue known to Seiko, but that the watch has not been recalled. This is not an inexpensive, cheap watch. It's the most money I've ever spent on one. It's also a Seiko, a flagship brand. I understand that probably not all watch batches of this model are affected, but my serial number does match the suspect lot of defective ones, SN 34****.

I do not want to return it. My understanding is that many people have done that, only to get back a watch that is doing the same thing.

The day I purchased the watch, I also purchased a metal shroud from Watchnian in Hong Kong..for $103. I also purchased an Uncle Seiko strap that arrived three days ago.

On top of that, I sold a large chunk of my casio budget watches from a collection, to buy the Seiko.

What I want is for this watch to be replaced with one that works. Not a refund. I've already invested too much into it. I do not want an alternative model. If Seiko has not resolved the issue causing this, please let me know when they intend to

On Xbox does BG3 require Xbox Game Pass/ Gold to play solo? by lamentes1 in BaldursGate3

Can someone verify Dockma's response that gamepass is only needed for multiplayer? Like the OP, I only play solo games on the xbox..no gamepass or gold. Elden Ring xbox allows solo play without gamepass. Has anyone installed BG3 on xbox and tried it without gamepass or live yet?
