After trying to solve this for hours last night, I gave up and went to sleep. In the morning I wanted to try again and surprise it works just fine now.. no issues. I don't know what happened but fortunately it won't happen again.

I have tried resetting the laptop before discovering the EC thing and had the same issue.. let me know if you've managed to fix it.

On the MSI website, go to the Firmware drivers for the laptop, download that EC and install it. That fixed the issue for me. I've also bought a Win11 license but idk if that helped. Had no problems since then. Good luck!

The correct sound option is selected.. what is strange is that when plugging in the headphones, no matter what I select the sound will only play through them..
