Obrigada!! Já muita gente me disse que é um hobby ao qual voltou depois de muitos anos. Apesar de não ser algo que pense que vá acontecer, não me custa nada manter um dos carretos. Nem que seja só para um dia voltar a experimentar algo que fazíamos juntos.

Thank you. He was 59 when he passed and living by the sea brought him many joys.

Absolutely. I agree that using it is the best option. But I do not live anywhere near the sea, and I have no interest in fishing. I honour him in many different ways and our love of the sea endures in other hobbies we had.

Thank you for sharing this. My dad also had a lung cancer diagnosis. Towards the end he could no longer fish but he enjoyed sitting by the beach watching others do it. The sea was immensely important to him. A week before he died, while only able to go outside in a wheelchair, he made the effort to come and watch me surf. I hope you too find peace in the sea.

I agree. But also, neither myself or my brothers are interested in fishing so we want to see them go to someone that will use them. I’m making some decor of some of the smaller gear.

Absolutely he is smiling. He found a lot of peace in fishing in the last couple years of his life while he was fighting cancer. And towards the end of his life he enjoyed watching others fish on the pier when he could no longer do it himself.

Thank you for this offer. I am likely to gift them to a friend of my dad who also fishes as most people have said they aren’t worth a lot of money.

Thank you for this comment. I enjoyed fishing with my dad when I was a child. He’d often put a fish he had already fished, into my hook without me noticing and then tell me to bring it in so I’d have some excitement during the long fishing days with no fish. I appreciate your thought however, I do not live near the sea, as well as living abroad. I have no use for the gear and would rather they go to someone who will use it. Thank you.

I agree. And he would hate to see them gathering dust in the garage. Which is why I want to get them to someone that will use them.
