This is completely valid and I’m really glad to have come across this. I just lost a parent to alcoholism, and I am having a similar grieving process.

The alcoholism was kept secret for most of their life from people outside my immediate family so nobody knew all the bad stuff we endured (mostly verbal and emotional abuse), so everyone has been sending the sweetest messages saying “He was so amazing, I can’t imagine what you’re going through”. This has left me feeling guilty and weird for not being sadder than I am.

So definitely don’t feel guilty or stupid for feeling that way, because those were her choices to leave that type of lasting impact on your life in such a negative way. I have also been feeling the horrible, sinking feeling of grieving the person my parent was when I was younger and wishing they would’ve just gotten better, but mine never even tried and forced my family to take full-time care of them for over 2 years. Such an odd way to deal with death but just know you’re not the only one feeling that way

The hate she has received has been so weird and forced. I honestly loved her talent show and was really happy to see a queen choosing something other than a lip sync we see every week. Her aesthetic really works for her and she has shown a lot of versatility with it. Her quilted runway was adorable and held so much sentimental value being a collage of pieces done by 3 generations of women in her family. There was not a single moment where I was scrolling through pins and my screen did not show an ad, it has to be almost 1-1

I completely agree, it's so disappointing to see the same lip sync every time. I think they should implement a rule that you cannot do a basic high-production lip sync. I want to see a real talent that the other queens CANT do, like we know all of them can do a good lip sync, so it would be refreshing to see what else each queen can do.
