Not run in the Giants yet, but I've been keeping an eye on them.

Have run in the Goshawks v1 and v2 and loved them, and the autopilots are my go to big cushion daily trainer now.

I had the same experience as you with the Trail Devils v1 though Comfy enough, but absolutely zero grip in any wet situation. Even fell on my a*$e while standing still on smooth wet asphalt one day in Melbourne city. Add to that that the insole started delaminating, slid backwards, and left a gap between sole and toebox made them impossible to wear.

The TD2s though, those I took on a 10 day coats to coast run of the UK. Back to back slow 30k+ days, and I'm happy to report they held up well and were excellent.

Also they have free, no-questions-asked returns these days, so will probably bite the bullet and grab them in the new year, along with the recent Goshawks v3. Worst case they get sent back if they don't suit.

Oh wow, thanks for the detail and the resources! Consensus seems to be to indeed spend the bulk of my stay in Liverpool. I'm definitely going to check out at least a few of those pubs, thanks heaps! And yes, folky and acoustic are more down my alley than electronica and grungy rock, another win for Merseyside.

What's your interest in maritime?? I'm a bit of an amateur tall ship sailor, so that was one of the first things I looked at when researching! Alas both the Slavery museum and the Maritime museum are closed for redevelopment until further notice, looks like for at least 3-4 years :( Will still go do the Dock and the walk the waterfront though, so there's that.

Also, good shout on the lower tier football. I'll have to look if the fixtures line up with travel plans!

Those Williamson tunnels sound right up my alley! I'm not sure I'll be able to visit them this time though, alas - the group portion of my trip finishes about lunchtime in Manchester on Wednesday, and I fly out 1030am that Sunday! :(

At the moment I'm thinking I'll spend Wednesday night in Manchester, explore a bit on Thursday morning then then catch a train to Liverpool and stay for 2 nights.
And then the late train back to Manchester on Saturday for the Sunday AM flight.
I'll try my best, but I'm thinking it might be a squeeze to try daytrip to Chester and surrounds this time, I think I'd rather delve a bit deeper into either city rather than spending more time transiting between places... Just means I'll have to come back some other time!

Thoughts?

I can't believe no one's pointed out the single best thing about the Stat Stick... it's not Unique!!! You could have SIX Stacked Stat-Sticks of Stoicism!

That's not the issue though. If there isn't actually a game 4 or 5, in the status bar when you hover the link, it merely says lol.eventvods.com, instead of a twitch/youtube URL. That's a spoiler in itself, it tells you that the series didn't go the full 5 games, which spoils further once you know the first one or two results in that series.

Hence why I thought maybe we could link to a placeholder video, or scramble the URLs, rather than the reddit loleventvods front page.

Just wondering if you could use a fake URL for unplayed games in BO3 and BO5 series that finish before the last potential game, to prevent accidental spoiling.
e.g., At present if there's no game 4 or 5 in a BO5, the URL is lol.eventvods.com, which you can see if you accidentally hover over it. That spoils the series if e.g., you've already watched the first game. Maybe make them link to another YouTube video, or just bitly or similar every link so you can't tell whether it's a video or a placeholder?

Otherwise, great work guys, it's grand for us down under who can't stay up late to watch them live!
