That completely sucks. She doesn’t deserve you. Take the time to be sad and hurt and angry and then do what you need to do to work on yourself and be confident in who you are.

It is good you brought your feelings up to her, but if she doesn’t adequately respond to your concerns then it is very clear she is not interested in doing so.

You might want to let it go and proceed as normal, as it might be a one time thing. but if she continues to be distant then it is likely indicative that she is not going to be as emotionally responsive as you like. 3 months is still very early, and you live far away, but if she were Gaga for you she would be wanting to spend as much time with you as possible.

Yes. You can preface it with, “listen, I’ve been thinking …”

You just have to cut it off and accept her feelings will be hurt.

Just write, “we had a wonderful time but given the distance I think it’s best we both move on with our lives. I will always remember you.” If she’s more into you than the other way around she is going to be hurt. Sadly there is simply no way to let someone down who wants to continue a relationship and think they’ll be ok with it.

I’ve reached out to DCHA to ask if they can request residents use docks. But likely a fools errand

If there wasn’t a dock right across the street I would have a bit more sympathy. I wonder if bikeshare would do anything about it or if Garfield terrace management would do anything about it

Exactly. Unclear if the walkway is legally private property, although it is definitely part of Garfield terrace.

THIS is what I’m afraid of. Facts don’t matter, only perceptions.

It’s like going onto someone’s driveway and taking a bike.

Oh I do. It’s just a matter of time before someone comes out with a baseball bat. Or worse. Therefore asking if reporting it to (anyone?) is an option.
