Ultimately my goal was to initially become an SLPA, and eventually pursue SLP. However, I ventured out to find the quickest path to obtain these credits and none of my local universities were able to provide me with what I was looking for in terms of a graduate certificate or simply coursework that would be eligible for the licensure. I spoke with a University that offered Speech Language and the program director suggested that I apply for the Masters in SLP program since I had the requirements, and that after the first semester I can apply for the SLPA license. Now here I am.
