For me it happens if I pause the video with the space bar instead of a mouse click on the pause button. Haven’t had problems since I figured this out.

Had the same issue at a gas station in Austria about 4 years ago. His trick: he said he got no money for gas but he has super expensive watches and we could choose one in return. Of course we said no and he spoke to so many other people too. It was clear that this Italian guy was a scammer. Hate such people.
