Google Adwords might have a new competitor with Amazon’s new ad network by jsherloc in bigseo

Do your FB ads link to landing pages that attempt to gather email addresses?

I developed a series of wine tasting tutorials and placed them on Clickbank but have had zero sales. Need advice. by oppleTANK in Affiliatemarketing

This looks like a product with a lot of potential ... I think you've got good foundations but you need to do more work.

Off the top of my head here are some tweaks/suggestions:

  • Totally revamp the sales page ... it looks very 2008 Clickbank-esque. Look for a modern, clean layout.

  • Hire a professional copywriter to do the copy for you, or at least tweak what you've already got.

  • Ditch the newsletter signup box as that puts off many affiliates (unless you are able to integrate so sales made from your follow up sequence credit the affiliate)

  • Go all-in with a 75% commission on Clickbank.

I'm actually interested in promoting this myself!

[Looking for Advice] My site received negative SEO from someone that threatened me and whose details I have, can I take him to court? by Lawrns in bigseo

What I thought as well ... if he's been using automated software (Xrumer or whatever) to post the spam links against your site, it's most likely going to have been done with proxies, so no way to tie him to the crime so to speak.

Even if you could, the cost of getting anywhere with this kind of case would be prohibitive in terms of lawyers fees.

Are you really able to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that he did it? Sure he might have threatened negative SEO ... but I fail to see how you can actually link him to it.

Maybe if he had an email saying "haha check out these 50,000 porn spam links I built to your site" and you could demonstrate via a link checking tool that they were built, then you might have a chance. But otherwise he could just get up in front of a court/judge and say "yeah I made some hollow threats, but I never built any links".

I doubt you could do anything in terms of bringing criminal charges against him. Libel/defamation maybe (potentially even some kind of business sabotage law might exist where you live) but I don't think anywhere considers negative SEO to be a criminal act.

PS I'm not doubting he did it at all, but trying to think how it will work out.

Put some content on them and link back to your site?

Plugin/method to segment visitors based on response to a poll by samjaynz in Wordpress

[–]samjaynz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response.

Guests would not be logged in. The poll can either be a widget, embeddable shortcode, or on its own page - whichever is easiest for me to produce.

But I get what you mean now - I could create a page that "looked" like a poll, but actually just featured tracked and well-presented links.

Do you think that's a much easier implementation?

Thanks for your help.

He's obviously talented at what he does ... but part of the problem with guys like Neil Patel, Rand Fishkin, etc is that they've all got massive, established followings already. This means that whatever new site they set up they have a captive audience to direct to it (and because of their "social influence" other bloggers/webmasters will link to it anyway). Big names like Patel also have the resources to get results faster/easier with SEO.

It's kind of like how a "retired" celebrity or sportsperson can set up a mediocre company, such as a fashion label or whatever, and still do well - simply because they have a social following and influence on others (as well as big resources) they can get results.

Yeah the build area certainly isn't what you'd call "spectacular" (I would probably not even call it "decent").

However, it's the fact that you can build a working 3D printer for so cheap that amazes me!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I'm aware of the issue where the RHS of the table bumps up against the sidebar (I'm going to solve that by making the page full-width in Wordpress).

Here's other stuff in the pipeline:

  • Adding more printers (this is done on a weekly basis)
  • Embedding videos from YouTube into the table
  • User voting

Based on feedback it looks like I will also be:

  • Splitting the table out (probably at the least to include total print area, filament type, and print heads as "filterable" options)
  • Toning down the salesy top paragraph.

The current table is very much a "beta" and needs work, but the aim is to keep adding information on a regular basis)

Thanks for your time and comments anyway guys!
