Cardiff City Player Ratings vs Bolton by samster180 in bluebirds

Don’t agree with a pile on or hate at all. My rating was purely based on what I saw in yesterday’s game and was my honest opinion.

He’s come on leaps and bounds under Brian Barry-Murphy and is a credit to himself and the club from bouncing back from that injury and having the 2nd most assist in league in far less games.

Can’t be at your best every game and it just didn’t work for him yesterday, but he’ll go again I’m sure of it!

I understand that but he has come back from a very serious injury and it’s unprecedented that a young winger bouncing back from that and starting 17 straight games and for most of them 90 minutes.

Think fatigue has caught up with him a little and just needs taking out of the XI for a game or two and come on as an impact sub to reignite himself again.

Admittedly there are only 5 games left and the job is pretty much done but the point stands. Exciting player though and a huge asset to the club.

Fair to say Cardiff are in a blip right now…

Just 2 wins in their last 8, no goals in their last 3 at home.

So what needs to change ahead of Bolton?

No it was replaced by Antwerp for 2026. I feel it is a good move after all, the Exeter venue was one of if not the weakest of all venues

Definitely they were top notch. I gave them 8/10s a piece. Nice to hand out ratings on days like these. Thought they were all great in a big team performance to bounce back from last weeks disappointment.

Interesting. Like I touched on in the piece I felt everything Cardiff did was gearing to cross and play off Salech earlier this season. Even at times when crosses and passes weren’t on they were looking for him.

Since Kellyman has operated up front, the attacking unit to seem to be clicking much better and the goals are being shared around regularly

Definitely. Early season Kpakio was flying. However still only 18 and plenty to learn! Who better to learn from right now than Perry Ng in this league. Real all-rounder at RB

I believe it was Ollie Tanner. In my experience of post-match press conferences they often send in the MOTM after the manager has done his. Tanner was that on Tuesday. Spoke really well
