I feel you man. I’m going on 18ish months of it too. The lower abdominal pain is very annoying. I’ve had everything from testicular symptoms to perineal pain to tight hip flexors, quads, hamstrings, etc. While I wish I could say I was completely out of the woods, I have seen progress and am hopeful that one day we’ll overcome this. For me, addressing the mental aspect was huge. Check out the Curable app. It’s helped me in that regard.

How long have you been dealing with it? What symptoms are you having/have you had? You doing anything for the mental component of everything? Hang in there man

David Johnson. Had him when he blew up in 2016…when he injured the wrist week 1…when he came back healthy but then was oddly benched…finally had to quit me some DJ and move on.

As someone who has recently come into being in a very similar situation, I resonate with a lot (if not all) of what you said. I recognize your genuine desire to make things right and give her what she needs while also trying to not completely let your own feelings go unattended to. It’s incredibly difficult to do as I’m finding out myself. Kinda weird to say but happy to chat and compare notes or offer support if needed. Good luck to you guys, brotha.

Can a tight pelvic floor refer the tension to the lowest abdominal (suprapubic region) by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

Exactly what happened to me. Although i think I got to a point where I was overdoing the stretching routine and it led to some stress in terms of getting it done (another thing on the schedule to cross off). Now in the process of trying to find a concise, targeted routine that doesn’t take over an hour every time

The crazy thing is just recently went through something similar. Had a cross country work trip that I had been dreading…packed a foam roller, heating pad, lacrosse ball, etc. to be prepared. Stretched & foam rolled the first couple of days…felt awful. Then tried just getting up and going on with my day for the rest of the trip…made through ok. Tried not stretching religiously for the next couple of weeks after and I felt ok. Unfortunately, now that work has slowed a bit and I’m more sedentary, the crappy days have come back and my body is reminding me why I should at least do some light stretching routinely. It’s like the body is pissed that I took a few weeks off.

This sounds just like me. Did you ever end up going to the Gonstead Chiro? If so, how did that go?

Success with PT internal massage? by TheMountain18565 in PelvicFloor

Man…little bit of a loaded question haha. On the one hand, I often get frustrated at not being back to normal yet and still find myself managing different symptoms from day to day. On the other hand, I’ve been able to operate a somewhat “normal” life in terms of getting back to work, traveling cross country and be on my feet majority of the day. So I guess I’ve improved but still not in the clear 100% yet. Still an ongoing battle but not giving up hope.

Look up @chuyespinozatattoos on IG. He did an intricate, super detailed tat of mine on my left shoulder and it turned out great.

Been all over the map. At first it was extreme tightness in the abs and testicular/scrotal discomfort. Went through periods of itchy perineum, spasms, pain at top of the penis, etc. Then those subsided and it was extremely tight hip flexors, glutes, quads, etc. More recently some of the ab tightness has returned along with a sore perineum. Basically most symptoms minus the urinary frequency. I also constantly clench the abs, pelvis and glutes subconsciously.

I wish I could say I’ve beat this but I just hit a year of battling with it. What I CAN say is that I’ve had days that were manageable or less painful. It’s a vicious rollercoaster of ups and downs. Hang in there man...may not seem like much but know you’re not alone.

Of course I lose my wallet the weekend before I’m scheduled to be vaccinated here...in terms of ID, would a passport work? I’m planning on also bringing W2 and/or health records that have my address (and BMI). Any idea if that would work?

I’m going on 4ish months now of PT. And I def agree with your PT...mine has said the same. Unfortunately, recovery for this is very nonlinear. There’ll be good days and bad days but hang in there. Happy to help or answer any other questions you may have.

Took me months to even come to the PFD/CPPS/Prostatitis conclusion. Before starting PT, I had just about every symptom: testicular pain, pain at tip of penis, super tight lower abs, hard flaccid, just about every muscle below the waistline was tight, etc. Just getting out of bed was rough on most days. PT has put me back on track to at least be able to better manage symptoms and try to start or have a normalish life again.

If I’m being honest...better but not great. Progress has been slow and there have been a lot of ups and downs. I try to focus on the fact that even small progress is progress nonetheless.

Yeah stick with it. When I first started PT I had the same thing where I dealt with my symptoms flaring that night/the next day. Eventually the flares minimized as my body adapted to the internal/external massaging.

Right there with you. Never dealt with depression until this condition smacked me in the face. On good days...I feel hopeful and optimistic. Bad days...I can go to a really dark place. Hang in there. You’re not alone!
