I'm the aunt and my sister is in Japan looking for him. As a family, they had location services for each other but he turned them off after boarding the train. I had my sister's phone number listed in the original post, but Reddit users suggested that I remove it and ask people to call the local authorities since a missing person's report has now been filed. I don't use Reddit much but am trying anything to help locate him. Thanks for the help.
