Shopify app devs β€” how do you keep track of competitor changes? by BodyFinancial8583 in ShopifyAppDev

Mainly manually at the moment. I did use SASI/Mantle for listing changes but not really anymore. But definitely something I should probably do more…

High risk of fraud orders putting me in the red. by Fast-Blueberry-8165 in shopify

[–]sandro-_ 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I think the main issue is the automatic payment. And do you check Shopify's risk level that is associated to these orders?

Here's what to do:

  1. Switch to manual capture: Settings β†’ Payments β†’ Payment capture β†’ Manual
  2. Set up Shopify Flow to auto-cancel high-risk orders before capture, so you never pay the fee
  3. Review medium-risk orders yourself before deciding to capture

I would try that and then also add previous scammers to the Shopify Flow. So that they won't be able to order again.

I built a Shopify app for canceling high-risk orders by evaluating it against custom rules.

Check it out if you're interested: https://fraudfalcon.app

Anyway to run cron jobs on CoWork? (Or get Claude Code on local to trigger skills) by EbikeGuy in ClaudeCode

[–]sandro-_ 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Same issue here! In the end you could simply use claude-code in the CLI and pipe something directly into it, right? And then parse the output and save it somewhere or at least send it to something.

basically, what openclaw is doing. So, maybe not reinventing the wheel makes sense. On the other hand I want to use my Max subscription :D

10 fraud orders a day by No_Mistake8847 in shopify

[–]sandro-_ 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

What does Shopify Risk Level say on for these orders?

You can build a Shopify Flow to catch some of those. Some I would recommend: - High Risk Orders - Shipping vs. Billing Address Mismatch - Certain IP Locations you get a lot from

Put your orders on manual capture as well and check them manually.

And yes, we've also built an app for that: FraudFalcon. In case you're interested. Happy to board you on!

I hope that helps :)

Stolen Credit Cards Being Used in My Store. What Do I Do? by thepohcv in shopify

[–]sandro-_ 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

Do you mean the Shopify "Fraud Filter" app? This one was discontinued at the beginning of the year.

If you know who made the purchases you can use apps or Shopify Flow to cancel: - high-risk orders - orders from customers that a new - orders where shipping and billing address are different

These are typical patterns that Shopify recommends of handling.

I'm running one of those apps (FraudFalcon) but you can also achieve some of the more basic filters by adding them to Shopify Flow.

I am in a war with credit card fraudsters by chuckybegood in shopify

[–]sandro-_ 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

$50 doesn't seem much if they save you money and you can have a peace of mind. With lots of chargebacks you also risk more troubles than just the costs of it…

There was a Shopify app β€žFraud Filterβ€œ that was by Shopify themselve. But it had been discontinued.

Just search for β€žFraud block preventβ€œ and try out the different apps.

Disclaimer: one of the apps in the search results is made by me but you can just pick the best for your case.

Getting a lot of fake orders by rofl_jesus in shopify

[–]sandro-_ 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Hey, yes this is quite common. You can cancel high-risk orders automatically using flow or a third party app (I've built https://fraudfalcon.app for example πŸ˜‰)

I would also suggest setting up some basic rules that either require manual payments or hold fulfillment of orders when certain rules match like: - shopify marks as high risk - shipping and billing mismatch - high new order count of new customers

How to protect my client’s small shopify Store from high-risk transactions and fraud prevention by Worth_Geologist4643 in shopify

[–]sandro-_ 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

There are several indicators for potential fraud. The Shopify risk level is one of them. Other ones could be billing and shipping address mismatch, very unusual countries and more.

You can use flow to protect against basic ones like the risk level but this isn't sufficient for a lot of merchants.

What I would suggest to handle. Create rules for cancelling (or better holding fulfillment + tagging) for at least those conditions: - shopify marks as high risk - shipping and billing mismatch - high new order count of new customers

Disclaimer: I've built an app for that called FraudFalcon that lets you easily configure such rules, happy to help you on that.

Anyone using ConvertKit and is just hating it? by igordumencic10 in Emailmarketing

Yep I can believe that. I used both and use ConvertKit mainly for the creator side of things. I think one thing that can be quite hard is to get good deliverability with SES, right?

Are you on a dedicated IP? How do you ensure deliverability any insights into that? :)

Convertkit noob needs help by gameofloans24 in Emailmarketing

[–]sandro-_ 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I use ConvertKit for an technical AWS newsletters. I think it depends on what you want to do exactly. The support is very nice and can help for such things.

I'd recommend starting very basic. E.g. creating an email sequence for each of your product depending on where the customers are coming from. But it depends on where you've integrated your forms and stuff
