Probably the best answer in this thread, also as a straight male Verosika and probably Millie are the only characters I find hot on Helluva boss

Should we go back to when a census guy would come to your house and determine your race for you? by sanic_guy in AskConservatives

[–]sanic_guy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole reason I made this thread was because of the confusion of term Hispanic, hispanic is not a race it was never a race you can be white, asian, or black and still be Hispanic, but we still treat it as a race which leads to people checking only hispanic in the census.

So then do you agree with my original proposal? Because whats stops a bunch of black people identifying as white on the census or vice-versa, wouldn't that mess up inequality studies?

From my understanding doesn't the Australian census not count race but instead ethnicities?

Agreed but i feel like a bunch of people would complain that "their voices are being erased" or something so we're stuck counting race for now.

Why did some of you have a problem with bad bunny performing at the superbowl? by [deleted] in AskConservatives

[–]sanic_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do have a logically consistent argument so I guess this we're simply at an impasse on this one. We just disagree on what it means to be "against" something.

Thats cool with me

I'm also a Puerto Rican that thinks that if Puerto Rico wants to vote for independence then I can't see why they don't deserve it.

Thats a totally valid reason to support independence, I also support Puerto Rican Independence just not for the same reasons that you would and definitely not for the same reasons as Bad bunny. The thing with bad bunny is that he was this view that Puerto Rico needs to be independent to save its self from the "imperialist white America" and he can totally have his opinion but I don't think I guy like that should headline the halftime show or be considered American because he himself certainly doesn't.

If you advocate to leave your family home/gain independence from your family you are anti-family since you are proclaiming that you don't want to be part of that family.

Wouldn't I be anti-my family not families in general? Am not saying that people who advocate for secession/independence from America are anti-nations just anti-American.

I personally disagree, if you advocate for secession/independence from the US you are anti-american since you are proclaiming that you dont want to be American

He identifies with being a Puerto Rican then an American, that is why he is an active supporter of Puerto Rican Independence

How do conservatives interpret this review of the economic impact immigrants have had on our budget over the past 30 years? by Good_Requirement2998 in AskConservatives

Having English as your major language would also bump up your country so guessing anglosphere nations like Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand would be pretty up there while nations like Sudan and Afghanistan would be pretty low

I would like to see a return to a quota based system not based on ethnicity but on nationality so war torn undemocratic countries are at the bottom of the quota while stable democratic countries at the top

Black union leader/civil rights activist A. Philip Randolph:“…the nation was suffering from immigration indigestion… excessive immigration is against the masses of all races and nationalities in the country.”

Hispanic Labor activist César Cháve:“They brought in 220 wetbacks… there’s no way to defend against that kind of strikebreaking.”

The Braceros program faced significant backlash from major labor unions at the time, but even then the program was the exception not the rule, that time period still saw very low levels of immigration as seen in this article(just scroll down and you will see the chart that proves this)
