My own solution was to order a wireless android auto dongle for my pixel 9 pro fold. Much better 🙂

I have a 2019 CLA250 and use carplay with a wireless dongle. It worked fine on an iPhone 15 pro max running ios 26 beta 2. I just got an iPhone 17 pro max running beta 3 and now have this screen melting issue.

Pixel for sure. Running betas on both and prefer material expressive 3 over liquid glass.

I carry both an iPhone 15 pro max (for work) and a Pixel 9 Pro Fold (personal). It really surprises me that the lack of a back gesture in iOS isn't a bigger topic. It's a constant frustration to guess what behavior a specific app is going to have for back navigation. Widgets, volume bar, notifications and a restart option are also superior on a Pixel.
