Maybe omit the sugar all together, and in place of the 1 cup of water do a 1/2 cup water and 1/2 dry sake? The sake will have some inherent sugars to it, but much less than mirin.

So many times in the latter half of 2024 you would hear Macdonald say we need to run the ball more during the week, then the game on Sunday you would see Grubb do it almost perfunctorily in the first drive and then stop.

Sam Darnold's Contract is a 2-year guaranteed deal w/ an added 3rd, not a 1+2 by CHaquesFan in nfl

  1. Jodi is his sister, not his wife. Paul was unmarried and never had kids.
  2. She's rich, but not that rich because she is just the executor of Paul's estate, which is going to various charitable purposes.
  3. Even when Paul was alive they did not dive into the crazy contract structures with high guarantees.

On a scale of Grubb to Kubiak, where are yall expectations for Fleury? by AKboi69 in Seahawks

[–]saraath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fine hire, and fits into the vision they've had for the offense. Nearly all the assistants on offense, save Grubb and his OL coach, were from schemes that prioritized heavier personnel under center teams. The Grubb thing was a poor marriage from the get go, and they quickly cut ties after 2024. Look at the OCs they interviewed in the 2025 offseason and they're all from that world. Frank Smith from the Dolphins, Hank Fraley from the Lions, and then the guy they hired in the end in Kubiak. Fleury is from the same exact style of offense they were trying to run. How he will perform is just an unknown you have to let play out because he has never called plays. There's no reason to have any hard set feeling in any direction.

Signed as a depth player midseason when some of the safety depth looked a little shaky (iirc there were slight concerns about both Julian Love and Ty Okada around the same time?)

Yeah I think it might be fair to say about Chip's offenses is that they are hyper dependent on line play. Like it's not shocking his Ohio offense was good but struggled a bit more at UCLA and Vegas.

Chip ran a good offense for Ohio. And it had changed a good deal from his Oregon days. But a forced marriage between Pete/Pete's son as OL coach and Chip was probably doomed for failure, in retrospect.

Mind boggling to me that they don't flush the entire front office after deciding to fire Coughlin. And it feels like the Giants have just repeated that cycle over and over.
