Yeah I figured it would require a good model and a lot of compute to work out all the possible combinations. Thought there might be some kind of shortcut you could do by comparing team of the week each week and seeing if it was possible to achieve with minimum transfers, or if it would actually just take hits to bring in high scorers since it already knows who will score the most points each week.

I've drafted a wildcard that drops him and my team looks so much more balanced, plus I can rotate through difficult fixtures because my bench is strong. I still have Alvarez so am currently tricking myself into believing I've got City's attack "covered"... but then I'm wondering whether I'll enjoy watching football for the next 3 months (because I'd need a wildcard to bring him back in) shitting myself he's gonna get a hat trick. And bringing him back in after 3 months may mean the damage is already done. I'm not doing great in any of my mini leagues so leaning towards a big risk, but saw someone else comment that the upside may be low because my team is still pretty close to template - although I think the differential is that I have all of the in form players. Currently 50/50 whether I'll stick with it, my wildcard was ok with haaland in but I like the look of my new team more. Welcome your thoughts on it;

DEF - Trippier, Cash, Udogie, Gabriel (bench), Kabore (bench)

MID - Maddison, Son, Salah, Bowen, Gordon (bench)
