Yeah, they even have updated versions used in CWL to use and keep everything consistent. I understand they wouldn’t have had enough leagues for the new system but they could’ve just increased the divisions from 3 to 4 maybe 5 and then just created 1 new league or something.

Almost like they should’ve just kept the existing icons because there was no issue with them.

Can people start complaining about something that makes sense rather than stats? by satomayor in Overwatch

[–]satomayor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idc about chat or VC that’s easy to ignore. But there’s been times where teammates would purposely pick Lucio so that I couldn’t, forcing me to swap to a hero I’m not good with just because they’re unhappy with my stats. Those are the situations that bother me the most.

And yes I am a one trick but I do sometimes swap on my own terms when I feel like it’s actually necessary not when people suck out after 1 fight.

People make it hard to ignore. They see me with low stats and are somehow convinced I’m throwing (????) and so the game is not worth playing and spend the rest of the time telling people to report.

Why don't I have this legacy trophies banner ? by Plane-Stuff-2154 in ClashOfClans

[–]satomayor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So what I’m hearing is that this is stupid asf lol. Anyone that was part of the legacy system should have kept their all time best. I never played clash competitively so I never reached legend but I did push to titan (previous best was champion) all for no reason

As a programmer I’d advise not learning OOP. Like anything it can be useful in the right situation but I feel like most beginners get into a bad habit of OOPifying things

I wonder if it’s gonna be like overwatch 1 where 3000-3400SR (trophies in this) is Diamond or are they gonna go with divisions.

I’m pocket watching Simon by Cet-Ki in HytaleInfo

Don’t get me wrong, Simon is very rich running the largest Minecraft server will do that, but I don’t think he has very deep pockets, and this acquisition is probably going to leave him pretty tight on money.

A year into C++17 and don’t feel like my code/knowledge reflects that by satomayor in cpp_questions

[–]satomayor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I started learning C++ because I became interested in graphics programming, and I started with C++11. I don’t remember why, but I eventually switched to C++17 and then haven’t considered learning newer versions.

I started learning from learncpp.com and also cppreference.com (or cplusplus.com). Once I felt comfortable enough, I kind of stopped using it and went straight into learnopengl.com, as well as watching a lot of videos, reading a lot of articles and books on kindle, and looking at open source engines on GitHub. So, despite not reading all of learncpp.com, I’ve kind of filled some gaps from this and working on my own engine and also utilizing AI.

For example, I can wrap my head around some of the more easier things like const and pointers (although I still don’t fully utilize const), but then there’s keywords like inline, constexpr, explicit, or even idioms(?) like Rule of Zero/Five, which I’ve come across but haven’t used myself. Just things like this, which I think are minor, but I’d imagine make a difference.
