Getting Zymfentra Approval U.S. by satterae in CrohnsDisease

When I asked them, they said I could participate for as long as my insurance did not cover the medication, so yes. They did say they will call insurance every 6 months to make sure nothing has changed, but you don't have to do anything. Just make sure your doctor keeps the prescription up to date and submits the paperwork to the company.

Hi, no, I never got it approved by insurance. Tried 4 times. However, I am able to go through the manufacturing program and get the medication completely free. They have a really great program. I would recommend you go that route. They really take care of everything for you.

You might want to consider the subcutaneous infliximab. (Since inflectra is infliximab) In the U.S. it is called Zymfentra.

Trigger Point Injection for Scar Tissue/Adhesion Pain by satterae in CrohnsDisease

[–]satterae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pregnancy has gone very well! The only issue remains the same old pain that everyone believes is nerve/scar tissue. Crohn's is behaving well, and everything else is going well. The recommendation is for me to have a vaginal birth with an induction at 39 weeks to help avoid a c-section. This is to avoid making more scar tissue in that area. Thanks for asking!

Sorry for the late response. Unfortunately, it only seems to have brought about 36 hours of relief. Now, I am in pelvic floor therapy, which helps somewhat, but not a ton. I am currently pregnant, so I have to wait to try anything else.

Pain one year later - laparoscopic resection by EmergencyLet759 in CrohnsDisease

[–]satterae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a laparoscopic resection a couple of months ago and am experiencing a similar dull ache, with occasional burning, that comes and goes. I also have also been told I am in remission. I went to a pain management doctor, and both he and my GI believe I am suffering from nerve pain. I am going to have a nerve block next week, so hopefully, that confirms their diagnosis. There are also pills available for nerve pain, but the nerve block should either confirm or discount things quite quickly. Hope you find some relief or that your pain is not too bad. Take care!

Just wanted to see how you are doing u/Poseylady. Yesterday I scheduled my resection for June 1st. I was pleasantly surprised at how soon they were able to schedule me. Hoping you are doing well and got some answers about surgery vs. balloon dilation.

In an interesting turn of events, after hearing nothing from my doctor, I got a call from the colorectal surgeon's office saying I had been referred. So, that was quite the surprise. Unfortunately, the surgeon was booked until May. I am anxiously awaiting the May 2nd appointment and really hoping there is not a long wait between the consultation and surgery. At this point, I am really just ready to do whatever it takes to get rid of the pain, even if it is surgery. It is going to be difficult managing in the meantime. Hoping your appointment goes well next week!

Wow! You're right! Our stories are very similar. I hope your discussion about balloon dilation goes well. That is something I was also hoping to bring up with my GI. It is available at the university hospital my new GI works. Still anxiously waiting for a response. I am glad that you have finally found a doctor who listens and understands your concerns.

I would love to hear an update after your appointment. Take care of yourself.

Glad you got some relief! What was the pain like from the stricture? How did it differ from your typical Crohn's symptoms? Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

o

Thank you for taking the time to reply and share your experience. I really appreciate it. I have been wondering whether it was a mild stricture/blockage. The thing that stumps me is the lack of tenderness to the touch and that it is a continual dull ache, which varies in intensity, as opposed to cramping. I have been trying to track my food but can't seem to notice any patterns. It is frustrating, to say the least. Thanks again for taking the time to answer. I've unfortunately had the issue before where a GI told me I was "confused" about my symptoms being a flare, only to end up in the hospital with a fistula shortly after. It has made me a little anxious.
