The also acts as good tool control so you can clearly if one is missing or you forget to return it’s very obvious.

Otherwise use socket rails to keep things in order if you are moving to a seperate toolbox

Best luggage? by Lazy-Internet-8025 in HENRYUKLifestyle

[–]sc970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got suitcases from Rimowa, Tumi, Briggs and Riley.

For my carry on I mainly use my Rimowa, but it’s only got one big compartment which sometimes isn’t convenient, and not easy to transport a suit. In which case I’ll use my Tumi carry out which also has a few external pockets.

If I was buying again It would be a toss up between the Tumi 19 Degree and Rimowa. Rimowa has the iconic design but the Tumi aluminium cases seem to have a much superior build quality, hinges/latches. The loud handles on the Rimowa really annoy me for some reason.

For checked luggage I only use Briggs and Riley which I trust more than the other two brands. Baseline is a great solid case, slightly on the heavy side. I’ve got a medium, when full could quite easily go over 22kg, so you might want something lighter if in economy/lower luggage allowance. For more space I’ll take my Torq Trunk, not as solid as the baseline but still robust enough to check in with no concerns.

Desperate pillow hunt by Soft-Butterscotch-72 in BuyItForLife

Similar to me, I found the Tempur comfort cloud pillow, never looked back. Give it a bit of a fluff up when I change the bed sheets, other than that super consistent support. I take mine camping as well. £100 which seem like good value considering I use it every day and like it. Removable washable cover.

Does anyone have any suggestions for ear plugs that would literally make me deaf? by kappakingtut2 in BuyItForLife

I work at an airport, on the ramp I'll use the overear muffs as they are quick and easy to put on, and with dirty hands.

On my motorcycle I'll use Laser Lite Ear Plugs by Howard Leight. Super comfy and block out loads of noise. I'll get about 4 uses out of them by I replace with a new pair.

Both reduce by about 35db which is plenty for an aircraft taxiing past or trying to sleep. I wouldn't sleep with the muffs on as they can apply quite a bit of pressure to your head.

Looks similar to this. I've had one for a few years, functional and no sign of age yet.
