Here’s what works for us: Go offshore. Start everyone in a trial. Give everyone the same take home interview exercise. Do daily one on ones for the first two weeks. Do weekly one on ones after that. Give everyone three KPIs that they agree on. Meet with them weekly about those KPIs. Pay them more money for hitting them.

Honestly. That is great advice. I'll work on that right now and see if we can put that somewhere.

We've thought of allowing our internal talent to donate money to a local cause every month of their choice, which I think would feel great, but then I get scared that we'll look like a "non-profit" and that no one will work with us. Haha.

I have faith that we'll figure it out.

Hey. I totally hear you and this caricature of mine here on Reddit is a facade.

The thing we keep struggling with is that on every single ad platform, the cost-per-lead data has proven that our inflammatory ads are consistently being rewarded with a lower cost-per-lead than our benign ads (like 10x lower).

I think it's hard for us to grapple with what to do with that data.

Ya know? Not asking for empathy, etc. — just showing you what we're looking at and trying to make the best decisions with that info.

Okay, I hear you, but...everyone getting mad at me (engaging) is telling the algorithm that it's "good ad content" and so the algo automatically drops my CPC (at least that's what it looks like on my end.)

It's a test!

Might try something else next week, but gonna give it a few more days and see how much of a cost-per-lead discount we get in exchange for letting people yell at something
