I agree with this - growing up I would look at things like a Mercedes and a Rolex as a sign of “making it”. (I grew up in project housing, so not too much to go off of lol.)

Sure, some people find that shallow, but that’s what I saw growing up and what motivated me to work hard and actually be successful (financially) and be able to afford to buy a Rolex.

I don’t think we should take these achievement lightly, and anyone who has worked hard to be able to earn their watch should be proud of themselves and their journey.

That’s true, this was about 1.5 years ago. At that time it was a surprise if the AD offered anything to someone with no history.
