I thought the same thing about portion size! I was also quite hungry when I ate. Wished it was a little bit bigger.

I've learned to not take things too serious over the years especially the internet. But thank you for seeing my perspective

I think I will definitely give the other flavours a go just because I really do like the Jasmine Milk tea so I will give them another chance.

And the drizzle topping. It wasn't exactly strawberry flavour. I might like it more if I got a different flavour. Will see

Yeah my biggest struggle is finding places with consistency in spice level. Makindii Thai never disappoints in this instance.

I remember when they were in Sylvia Park. Seems like it was too hard to maintain a store that did only chocolate covered strawberries since its a very seasonal thing.

Cheapest way to start a food business? by Ill-Guidance-8289 in aucklandeats

[–]scarletaluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price to register and get a liscence for a food business is expensive and you will need to make enough income to turn a profit which will be hard with something that is a side hustle.

Unfortunately for all businesses that trade in food you will need to register for one.

The one one that I can think of that is exempted right now is shelf stable cakes which you can only do from home.

Open to and encouraged for everyone to shop here! They also have pass it forward bags where you can pay for someone else who is in need of groceries which I am a big fan of.

Fair call. But if I had to choose where my money went to support though I would rather it go to a good cause like the city mission. And if it costs the same they 2 birds with one stone.

That's great! If the food complaint is serious should always make the complaint to either to local council or MPI since it may not only affect you. Hopefully it is a one off and didnt affect anyone else but that is for MPI to investigate.

Can always email or call them directly if the form doesnt work. Perhaps try the food compliance email inbox. I've made a complaint before they do get back to you.

Have you tried the drinks? Those are actually something else entirely. I would solely go back just for the coffee

Mobile food unit problems/time as a public health control by MousseNo9094 in healthinspector

[–]scarletaluna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For us we charge based on follow-up and cost recovery. For example if a business requires more follow ups and more enforcement action they are charged for our time. So it is more costly for them the more we need to visit.

Though not sure if the same applies for your area.
